I was more reffering to how people react on those things. The game itself did a good job with equal male and female eyecandy. BUT we got no way the amount of views on male booty compared to Miranda. Even you must see that.

And that was one of the more criticized things

Nah, it has been proven that women are not attracted to men's body and are indeed attracted only to their personalities silly. <--- This idiotic argument will be used by men that not wish to see some male eyecandy in games, just watch it. Free double standarts for everyone!   :)

Miranda was designed like that, because she is supposed to be an ice queen that used her looks to her advantage and the writers wanted to show that (not that I approve thou, I hated when her butt covered the entire camera). I also could not stand Samara's clothing with that ridiculous cleavage.

Thane was designed in more or less the same way. According to the concept art book, they wanted Thane to be alien but also sexy and attractive to human women.

I'm going to say that I dislike that armor. The Miranda piece above is nice and I wouldn't mind if it replaced what she wore in game because it's still very distinctive.

But this piece that Ash is wearing here? Looks like a darker shade of every generic blue suns merc I shot down in ME2. It's just a pallet swap, and it bores me. Don't want to take away from the effort the artist put into this, but I just see this as the kind of suit that gets lost in the crowd in ME.

I'll still take it over the tin foil miniskirt and thigh high boots.

Isn't it similar to one of the armour Ashley had in ME3?

Heck to this day I'm convinced it was a hastily-made reskin after the initial outrage over Ash's appearance in the demo (with said thigh highs).  I mean, it was months before we saw her armored appearance.

I have nothing against designing characters that are good-looking, or beautiful. I think everyone enjoys having a hot companion by their side. I like Liara, she's beautiful, but she also had the armor, and she was both interesting and capable. I loved the moment when we first met Ashley, a very good-looking woman, but with heavy armor, and a professional attitude.

BioWare, you don't need to sexualize characters to sell your games. I recommend that you prioritize realism, not sexualization of characters.

I actually really like the outfits they considered from the concept art. Note the pulled-back hair, too.

Though, I also think reducing the shipped outfit to a "tin foil miniskirt and thigh high boots" isn't fair.  It'd be an entirely different conversation had the whitish-tan gaps on her legs been another shade of darker blue or something.

I want some overly sexualized men. I wanna see a hot guy wearing an outfit like Jack or Miranda or like the blue one Ashley wore in ME3. How did Jack and Miranda survive being shot at over and over with no armor on?? Btw Miranda has to pick out that wedgie. And how did Ashley run around in thigh high heels without breaking her legs? Who is she-Lady Gaga?? Most people would hurt themselves running around in heels like that. Anyway yeah I want a hot guy in an overly sexualized outfit. It doesn't really make sense and it's completely impractical but he looks hot :P

Anyway, I liked Liara's heavy armour in ME3 even if it was a bit boobalicious.

My only real problems with it is that it would be nigh-on impossible to put it on, uncomfortable to move around in, and you'd need a couple extra pairs of hands to get dressed. But hey - at least they don't defy gravity - lol.

Jacob, Vega, Kaidan to an extent

I don't know. When I finally got around to playing ME1, I just couldn't take Ash's armor seriously with that pink and white color scheme.

I also pretty much never used Kaiden, Ashley, or Liara in that game because, aside from just not liking any of them very much, I didn't like their armor. It all looked the same; just the same generic pieces Shep was wearing. Some were lighter, some were heavier. Some minor color or pattern variations. But on the whole, all of ME1's armor just blends together in my mind in one big pile of mediocre same-ness.

The exceptions being Ashly's Pheonix armor because of how much it stood out as being horrible, and Garrus, Tali, and Wrex, who had very distinctive looks due to their alien body shapes, but even then, I don't remember any specific suits that stood out to me.

Again, I had a certain bias having played both ME2 and ME3 before ME1, but I definitely preferred the later games in terms of character and armor design.

Agree with the concept art.

And the white was on her legs I believe right up until the public demo was about.  People seriously lost their sh*t with her appearance.  So they changed the white to blue like that recaptured her "bad*$$ marine" attitude from the first game.

Gee thanks... <_<

ME1 allowed you to change your squadmate's armor at will.

Ok, I'm going to get a little vulgar here, but I'm legitimately curious; why is it that dick is the equivalent to ass/breasts? If we're really doing this on an equivalency basis, shouldn't it be breasts = chest/abs, ass=ass, vagina/cameltoe=dick/package?

And if there was cameltoe in these games, I missed it.

And they all looked terrible, is my point. Shepard's N7 armor was the standout in quality, but all the armor pieces in ME1 were, in my opinion, a bunch of generic pieces that at best, did nothing for me, and at worst, looked horrible.

Well, that's on point except for breast/chest, because context. If I walk around without a shirt, I might be asked to put on a shirt. If I were a woman, I might get a ticket or arrested in some places. We live in a stupid world.

If you made it this long without seeing the EDI shots, you're probably better off.

Shepard's armor was Onyx just with the N7 logo and the red stripe.

I prefer it because it at looks like it is capable of being worn in a battle zone; if a grenade goes off close at least the plates might protect her.

I'd expect that a lot of the armour would be power assisted in some form.

Alright, so that's one good suit of armor out of dozens of crap ones, and it's also the one that's iconic to the main character, which kind of goes to my argument about Kaiden, Liara, and Ash lacking iconic armors in the first game.

Stupid and unequal laws about who can and can't go topless in public doesn't change the fact that a woman can enjoy a topless man just as much as a man can enjoy a topless woman, and in that regard, women have gotten more eye candy than men have in this series as most of the men have gotten legitimately shirtless and we've had to deal with lacy black bras.

Though there is still an inequality there in favor of the men since the shirtless scenes are finite while the camera lingering on Miranda's ass lasts as long as you want it to.

And yes, I've never noticed EDI having cameltoe until now. Fair enough on that point.

*shrug* lack of iconic armors never bothered me.  As long as it's functional and doesn't look stupid, I'm good.

Yeah, this is my point. We don't need to "undress" people, or somehow make them vulnerable, in order to make characters look interesting. I read an interesting article before, about how in the future people will affiliate functionality with style and vice versa. This should be implemented in Mass Effect, the fusion of style and functionality.

I don't know. When I finally got around to playing ME1, I just couldn't take Ash's armor seriously with that pink and white color scheme.

Let us hope BioWare can bring style and functionality together. Nothing can beat that.

Eh. I don't know, might be that my opinion is biased because Ashley, Kaiden, and Liara are at the bottom of the list as far as squadmates go for this series.

Lack of iconic armor, maybe. It's not like Shepard had one by this point. The N7 came with ME2, before that they wore exactly the same gear as everyone else.

There are a few good looking models of each kind in ME1. I don't think it's fair to concentrate on the bad examples like the infamous Phoenix suits. :P

Mercenary by Ariake Technologies, Predator by Armax Arsenal, Colossus by Kassa Fabrication, Battlemaster by Geth Armory (krogan only), Phantom by Serrice Council (turian only, Nihlus' armor) and some of the PC only (requires console commands) armors all looked great. Relatively. The low res textures didn't help.

Like I said, it really didn't help my opinion that ME1 was the last game in the series I played.
