What SJWs have to do with any of this? You are kidding right? This whole thread is about SJWs hating on attractive characters.

No, this is asking for less sexualization of characters.  Big difference.  It's asking for no super tight catsuits on both genders for combat.  It's asking that characters like Ashley stay dressed for their personality and not start wearing mini-skirts, heeled boots and her hair down while shooting monsters.  It's asking that characters like Jacob not have the suit so tight that the abs are showing every detail for combat wear.

If you think asking for no cameltoes, better armor, and Butt-Cams is all about SJWs, then I think you need to stop and take a breath.

Edit: Also, try reading what the OP has said in this thread.  They are anti-SJW, whatever that is.

Especially when she had a point at calling Shepard a hypocrite

Not our fault. We had literally no choice in the matter.

I'd probably let her go or arrested her and then let her go :P

You're one of those people who likes Bioware's whole "Dark/Edgy/Morally Grey characters are cool!" development mindset, huh?

Not really.  This thread is about the fact that nobody has a monopoly on what "attractive" means and that no situation in a game should be put forward in a way in which the player is *supposed* to find X or Y attractive and is given no option otherwise, regardless of their actual opinion.

This thread is mostly about characters wearing sensible gear in combat situations. It has branched away from that to a more general discussion, but that remains the focus of it.

Now, how 'bout you point out five examples of supposed SJWs in this thread. I'll wait.

Depending on how some play their Shepard

Sorta, I like "Good" characters as well as "Grey/edgy" characters

Asking for a practical outfit makes me a SJW? Maybe it's because I'm studying engineering and I love science and stuff that is logical and practical, but I can't stand sexy outfits full of cleavage and whatnot. You are going to a f****** war, your least of worries should be how hot you look.

"I'm going to a war, what shall I put on? Oh I know, I will put on that that bikini with some high heels! My sexiness will kill them all! It better does, otherwise I'll die..."

Josie is very well liked, as is Cass.

I like both characters. Cassandra is my most used companion

I've heard a lot of people talk smack about Miranda's attitude and intentionally had her die in ME2 during the SM.

I've intentionally killed her in ME2, but for specific playthroughs. She's died more in ME3 than ME2, and she's my favorite squadmate

Morrigan was so disliked that a mod called "Slap Morrigan" exists.

Never heard of that.

I saw posters brag about stabbing her during Witch Hunt,

Never did that. I always let her go through the mirror

so I don't think she's as beloved as a few posters might think.

I like her character. Her banter between her, Leliana and Alistair I enjoy

No, no matter how the player plays Shepard we had no choice in working with Cerberus or not.

I'm not a fan of this new mindset of theirs.

Some Shepard's had no problem working with Cerberus

That mindset has been around since Jade Empire and KOTOR

@canarius That's all this thread is: Opinions.  There is no "SJW agenda," there is no hating on straight men.  There is no hating on sex or sexy characters.  You find Ashley's mini-skirt just fine.  You found Miranda's bodysuit just fine.  I respect your opinion, since this is about something as subjective as attractiveness, as well as armor for a space fantasy game.

I thought the mini-skirt was ill-suited for Ashley.  It didn't seem to fit the personality that she had been given.  It wasn't terrible, it was just too much imho.  Either the makeup and the long hair, or just mini-skirt and boots would have not been as jarring for me.  Everything all together looked bad in my eyes. I don't dislike the character and she lives in most of my games.  I even met the VA.  Kimberly Brooks is a total sweetheart, and loved voicing Ash.

I just didn't like Miranda's catsuit as an aesthetic choice.  I put her in the black armor, mainly because I just think it looks nicer on her.  It isn't because of any "agenda" on my part, I just prefer the way it looks for battle.

I would never ask BioWare to change the older games, but I am going to request new ideas going forward.  In this case, I like armor over catsuits.  No double meaning, no bullcrap.  I prefer armor over catsuits in combat.  Out of combat?  Hey, what is ever comfy for you so long as it isn't beige.

DA:I made me hate beige all over again.

Sometimes, it isn't about an "agenda."  Sometimes, it's a simple as "I'd like this for ME:A."  I really wish folks would quit reading agendas into requests like this.

Never heard of that.

I used to see some PC users bragging about using it as much as they could.  It was a popular download too:

Doesn't matter. I said we had no choice, which is true.

Can't speak for Jade Empire, but KOTOR wasn't dominated by this like their more recent games.

The whole thread.

So basically, asking for armour in combat, no matter why, no matter You stated You like those outfits or that they're present in the game, no matter (ad the OP said) being anti-SJW, makes You a SJW?

Great logic.

It's isn't the Cerberus thing alone that can make Shepard a hypocrite

It isn't being "dominated" by it now

That's what Tela says. And what else does? I'm curious.

Yes it is. The vast majority of plots and characters embody it now.

If you are asking them to stop making attractive characters or make characters look attractive, it's definitely about agenda.

Would you go to a war wearing this?

Spoiler

It's not about being a SJW, it's about using something that is practical and appropriate for a f****** war.

This is what modern soldiers wear to war.

Not this.

No, myself and others have said, "I'd like them to stop being in catsuits."  I haven't seen anyone say, "Make a unattractive characters."  Unless you think a character can only be attractive inside of a catsuit, you'd surely realize that I was talking about armor.  You're running of arguments there, son.

Oh and we have been talking about Jacob as well.  That catsuit looks stupid on him too.
