Imagine your squadmate in MEA wearing boob windows and trousers a la Jack and going on a mission on a planet with.... sand.

"I got sand in places!"

The first game where instead of medigel we are going to have protective oils and burn relief cream... XD

In 2010-2011 sexualized characters was the ****, but then came the age of SJWs and Feminism which is still hot today and usually Bioware just follows what's hot so naturally there won't be any sexualized characters. I think they'd rather be anti-sexualized as in DA:I.

You realize characters can still be sexy without being overly sexualized right?

Funny thing is that this comment happens in ME1, where everyone wears fully enclosed armor.

Ah Liara... you stupid dork.

I hope they avoid it because every time they try too hard to sexualize a character it looks ridiculous e.g. Ashley in ME3, Miranda's ass, EDI's cameltoe.

What I really hope is that every single squad member has ship attire to differ from their combat armor. I'm really not sure why Ashley wasn't in any kind of Alliance uniform, though the same is sort of true of James since he's the only person in existence with an Alliance t-shirt. At least Kaidan played the part. But ME2's always the biggest offender to me, and that goes for everyone. I wish Mordin had something other than that weird salarian scientist outfit.

As much as I love the armor they've designed here, that pose really bugs me. Plus, they have the guy looking aggressive and her looking like she's watching a cat video on the extranet.

Yet it's the guy getting the stereotype butt shot though lol :P

At least in ME2 they wore their changed outfit on the ship if you changed in the squad screen. ME3 had half of them run around in the wrong armor.

I actually bought one of the appearance packs for ME2 because I wanted to see Garrus in armor without bullet holes and with his wound treated properly.

Well...

Look at her pose and then tell me that they weren't going for sexy. You usually only see contortions like that on comic book covers. A more natural stance would look much better.

I want to know who actually looked at banshee crotch and got turned on.

Cause I think that was added for horror moreso than sexualizing.

And I hope they don't change it. It actually took me a moment before noticing the female beside him...mainly because I was staring at his face trying to see if they used Sheploo face model...and he just looks so good.

I did not mind the pose initially (I do not consider it hyper-sexualization), but I attempted to stand that way for a few minutes (as if I was being painted that way) and my back started to hurt. So, yes...the alternate is an improvement (on my back at least).

The original picture uses the pose to make a stronger distinction between a male and female human. Your picture just shows a small and a larger human. IMO a clear step backwards.

You know, the argument that characters 'can be sexy and still realistic' or whatever doesn't seem to hold much water when people are complaining because a character in a full suit of armor not showing an inch of skin is in a feminine stance.

It's not that big a deal. And I agree, the pose clearly identifies her immediately as female.
