The fact is, you can argue against me and say that I am speaking to a boogyman, but the fact is, this thread IS about SJW perspectives in the idea that people are against women being sexualized in videogames. Anita Sarkeesian would be proud of this thread.
People want to hide behind the guise of "realism" but yet there are MANY things that the ME trilogy did that does not fall within the realm of realism and yet nobody is bringing those up, I wonder why?
Telling me this thread is just about realism and now SJW agendas is like telling me the Confederate flag has no racial connotations to it, just "heritage".
That's just not true. I brought up the realism (or lack thereof) a lot. Pretty much in every thread, including this one. So did many others. I even wrote a fairly long post asking for more realism in ME:A in my own thread where I mentioned the need for proper suits with helmets.
No one here has any issues with sexualization. Most people are simply asking for it to happen outside of combat, because fighting in stripper outfits goes too far. Not because of women's rights issues but because it isn't consistent within the game. Absolutely everyone in the game is wearing some kind of armor and most of the time a helmet when they expect combat. Only our squad mates run around in sexy outfits. Simply doesn't make sense. Especially not in space or on planets with a toxic atmosphere.
It isn't just sexy outfits though. There's also the issue of exposed skin, which affects almost the entire squad.
Is there an issue with women displayed as sex objects? Maybe. I'm not touching that though... if a woman is offended by it, then she can speak out for herself, she doesn't need us to get offended on her behalf.
