Just pointing out that the merc's armor didn't exactly save her there.
Of course not. She's with Commander Shepard and another of the Dirty Dozen, and you're finishing a level in a videogame.

ARE YOU A MORON? NO ONE IS SINGLING WOMEN OUT. THIS. HAS. TO. DO. WITH. BOTH. DAMN. GENDERS. STOP MAKING THIS SOME FEMINIST FLAMEWAR
No, it started out as something that was supposed to be about both genders and then evolved into something that is more female oriented with EDI and Miranda taking center stage. My query was why hasnt the male characters with similar outfits gotten the equal amount of attention as the females? I also asked how does Miranda's butt have anything to do with combat realism, which again was what this thread was originally about, realistic armor in combat but yet Miranda's butt in non-combat sequences seemed to take over and nobody had any explanation for that. NOR could anyone provide any images/scenes in which were unique ONLY to Miranda in where her butt was splattered across the screen.
At the end of the day, many Bioware fans are soft when it comes to stuff like this. If something is too masculine then it is wrong or immature. Hell, people are already complaining about the female N7 lady in the ME:A concept being in a "sexy" pose as compared to her male counterpart. I mean this stuff only happens here in these forums where SJWism is full force.
I guess some people will never be satisfied until a Bioware game comes out where a female is the default protagonist, all women are shown in a NON sexual way, and the male NPCs are emasculate. Call me extreme but what can you say?
And with that.....

That is why reading the thread helps
He's only reading the parts that agree with him. If you write something he can't twist to fit into his delusions, then he ignores it. For example, my post on the previous page. ![]()
EXACTLY!
So considering that this is a thread about combat, why is Miranda's butt such a hott topic in this thread and why were women seemingly singled out?
I am really starting to wish I had got these dlc outfits.
They should've released a DLC pack that fixes Miranda's Michael Jackson face.
So I wasn't the only one who saw the similarity... Awesome ![]()

I wouldn't recommend ending on that note, sir.
ayy lmao

Yes of course - failing to only talk about Miranda's butt in the confines of combat = widespread desire to emasculate red-blooded gentlepersons everywhere.
Seems legit.
Of course not. She's with Commander Shepard and another of the Dirty Dozen, and you're finishing a level in a videogame.
Completely off topic, but I really wish that name had actually gotten used in game at some point. Commander Shepard and the Dirty Dozen.
True, but it was originally a robot designed for human infiltration.
Infiltrate what, the Blooming Rose?
It's ok. If he thinks it's a mic drop, then gosh darn it, it's a mic drop.
More power to him. I think I'm gonna get more coffee, then once again debate about playing ME1 or DA:I. On the one hand, the ME:A announcement has gotten me excited to replay the series. On the other hand, my new video card makes DA:I shine and very smoothly at that. I've got the DLC to finish....
Yep, first world problem right there. ![]()

The suit is okay, but the conspicuous toe? That must be really skin tight.
Because the female characters tend to be worse about it than the male ones. I mean, Jack is practically naked from the waist up.
To be fair, that kinda does fit her character. Now when she shows up on the hazardous planet like that then it's a problem lol ![]()

Okay, you're extreme.

Well she infiltrated the Mars base ![]()

It's like they spent their entire character design budget on her ass and ran out of time and money when it came to her face. Maybe that's why they focused on it so much.

Good riddance, you and your terrible arguments that are completely baseless wont be missed

It would explain why she's always saying "busy now shepard, maybe another time". Budget on her ass took away from development time for conversations

I agree with this. Jack never bothered me. I think her outfit is 100% in character. (The lack of buttcams also helped). It is silly when we are running around some toxic gas planet and that's all she has on though.
The suit is okay, but the conspicuous toe? That must be really skin tight. That's one of two reasons for it being that, um, quite pronounced. The other...is not SFW to mention, but you should get the idea.
She also appears to have a permanent wedgie (and an outfit design that very much draws attention to that). And her, um, upper chest would have to be really uncomfortable being squeezed that tight.

I use the driver settings to override ME1's settings, so I have 16xAF, 16xAA and so on, then apply the low res fix (http://forums.steamp...d.php?t=2282965) and suddendly ME1 looks very shiny, too. ^^

It perfectly fits her character. It shows her intentionally not giving a sh*t about social norms and daring anyone to tell her to put a shirt on. Shows her reclaiming(in her mind) her sexuality after all the sexual abuse she's suffered in her life. Shows her arrogance and confidence in her biotic abilities, thinking that her barriers are all the protection she'll ever need. And it shows off her tattoos, which for her is showing off the story of her life, even if she won't tell that story, verbally.
But yeah, I absolutely agree that when on missions to hazardous planets or the collector base, she needs more than a damn breather mask on.

Yea, like I didn't have a problem with their outfits (except Jacob
) but I would've liked that if some of them had an armored appearance that also matched their style

Thirded. As I mentioned earlier, I didn't see Jack as sexualized. I saw her as very dangerous, right from the moment they showed her coming out of stasis. As far as any...chafing from the leather straps, it's easy to line them with a softer leather for the underside. I don't like catsuits, but I am flexible to a degree. As long as they fit the character, and they aren't a part of combat.
I'm off to game. You guys have fun and take care.
