2)thanks, Though I thought it was a reference to those outfits alone. The blog is talking about something They used on armours, vehicles, etc. Insomma see How it's relevant to the discussion.
Do you really want me to draw that exact same arc over Miranda's ass?
To be fair, that kinda does fit her character. Now when she shows up on the hazardous planet like that then it's a problem lol

I'm still sad over Chakwas not being a waifu.

I'd totally Florence Nightingale Chakwas. No doubt Shepard would make some cornball joke to the same effect.
Sure, though if her barriers go down for one second, she's terribly vulnerable to dying from a gunshot or piece of shrapnel. And as you mention there is the hazardous planet issue. That one was pretty bad for a lot of ME2 squadmates.
You have to remember that Jack is both arrogant and very self destructive. She's very much a burn the candle at both ends, who wants to live forever kind of person. Add to that her belief that she's an "all powerful ******", and you have exactly the kind of person who would give zero sh*ts about that kind of thing.
She'd be right up one of my Shep's alleys.
She may look old but she probably has a fit body ![]()

I always wonder what Jack would have been equipped with if we visited environments like we did in ME1. We went to the moon, a couple of hothouse planets and deep freeze wastelands. That giveth-no-feces attitude would evaporate pretty quickly there.

That Shepard has great taste.

She doesn't really look all that old. She looks much better than a lot of RL women in their 40s and 50s.

That's because pretty much all the females in ME1 use the same model. ![]()
I agree with this. Jack never bothered me. I think her outfit is 100% in character. (The lack of buttcams also helped). It is silly when we are running around some toxic gas planet and that's all she has on though.
I finally believe I know how you feel about Miranda butt cams to an extent. I could handle James butt cams, or Garus or whoever but the idea of Jack butt cams would make me physically cringe. The skip button would be pushed frantically.

Well yeah, but was referring to her face. It's not that wrinkly or beat up.

No, it started out as something that was supposed to be about both genders and then evolved into something that is more female oriented with EDI and Miranda taking center stage. My query was why hasnt the male characters with similar outfits gotten the equal amount of attention as the females? I also asked how does Miranda's butt have anything to do with combat realism, which again was what this thread was originally about, realistic armor in combat but yet Miranda's butt in non-combat sequences seemed to take over and nobody had any explanation for that. NOR could anyone provide any images/scenes in which were unique ONLY to Miranda in where her butt was splattered across the screen.
At the end of the day, many Bioware fans are soft when it comes to stuff like this. If something is too masculine then it is wrong or immature. Hell, people are already complaining about the female N7 lady in the ME:A concept being in a "sexy" pose as compared to her male counterpart. I mean this stuff only happens here in these forums where SJWism is full force.
I guess some people will never be satisfied until a Bioware game comes out where a female is the default protagonist, all women are shown in a NON sexual way, and the male NPCs are emasculate. Call me extreme but what can you say?
And with that.....
You know what...I actually agree with this. I bet Miranda's name alone was written over a ten thousand times while Jacob's name probably takes up a good 100 or 200 times. This thread seems primarily focused on judging women for their attire, what is appropriate for women to wear, and when it's appropriate for them to wear it. I suppose one can say that women are typically the ones portrayed wearing revealing armor types and thus they should be the focus. But seriously, Jacob and Thane are only brought as an after thought when it needs to be stressed that both genders are suddenly the issue.
I personally found the male in the MEA poster very appealing. Heck I found the N7 trailer guy appealing. Women love men who project strength. Is it so wrong that the female is posed to appeal to men and possibly lesbians? *shrug* idk.
I personally wonder more about the people checking out EDI's ****** moreso than the fact that she has one. (Although I could have lived forever not knowing about it, I played ME3 so many freaking times lol!) Who the heck noticed that? Why were they all up in her Cootchie like that anyway? lol!! I think I already know the answer to that.
Not that there is anything wrong with it but I find it pointless to jump down BW's throat for adding it when it obviously served its purpose with all the pics taken of it.
I'm sure some folks are offended but I wonder how much of this is just a case of "one doth protest too much"
Edit: I do think that the portrayal of women in combat games is a valid complaint. However, it seems to eventually cross over into contradicting the stance that a woman should be free to wear whatever she likes without getting dragged through the mud and made to feel less because of it. Does the revealing armor or feminine poses truly make a woman less capable than a man? Or is that simply how she is perceived by those who are offended. If so, then it seems to me as though it's an individual problem rather than the problem of the character itself.
Well, EDI's shiny metal groove does kind of stand out a bit with that white getup.
Eh. I guess I missed it by virtue of just never having her wear the white outfit. I either had her go naked or had her wear the black one.
Well, I liked Miranda's outfit. My xbox live avatar wore that thing for about a year.
I might put my own character in a catsuit, as a non combat outfit, if that were an option.
But some people really do care about how how realistic a fight scene, and the armor worn in a fight scene, seems to be. I think that's fair, but it's not a big think for me. If I were going to quibble how realistic it is, I might start with Shep & co's habit of taking helmets off in the middle of war zones to chat.

Easily handled by having Starlord helmets ![]()

To be fair, this is Jacob we are talking about. How many people actually remember that he exists? Love her or hate her, Miranda isn't boring.
Yeah, I agree with OP. Miranda was absolutely ridicules in ME3. She was supposed to be hiding from cerberus, and yet she wore, that outfit, in the citadel. Her whole pour pose was to be ****** ****** material, especially in ME3.
What, I really, really don't want, is the AU accent attached to another character like that- ever. The whole premise of Miraanda's accent also being marketed, to appeal to NA males in particular, was highly disturbing. It also caused problems, for me, and other aussie/NZ women on ME3 MP. Some comments, that got really annoying, really quickly, whenever my friends or I spoke in the lobby:
'Oh my god you sound like Miranda, and thats hot.' < this is the PG version.

And if you're like me and others who detest the way FemShep talks to him if you talk about anything other than ship upgrades, he's just going to stand around in his wetsuit by himself.

We're allowing holographic face masks as realistic but not armored catsuits?

His mask isn't holographic, but I'm talking about helmets can do this period
