ME3's method of inventory is modern day Robert Downey Jr. to ME1's 90's version of RDJ.
From now on all game mechanics have to be compared using actor metaphors.
I love that in ME3 I could just walk around with a pistol. I tried beating the entire game with nothing but a maxed out Predator. That was fun.
I'm also a fan of changing the lights. I always choose the light blue.
How did that session go? And on what difficulty, if you don't mind me asking.
I usually go with deep blue or yellow. I like the yellow for creating a Samus look (red and yellow armor with the N7 helm.)

I love the way your mind works.

It's all fun and games until someone declares their approval of a terrible system going the way of Amy Winehouse (not an actress but celebrities become fair game at that point).

Ooh, we should be careful about singer metaphors. That could go to some very weird places very fast. ![]()

It was on Normal, since a predator would probably just dry up against hardcore or insanity enemies. I'd just have to rely on my biotics (it was an adept). I think that the Predator's a bit under-appreciated though. It's one of my favorite regular weapons, and because it's a cut scene weapon, all the mods show up on it in those sequences. It plays extra nice with ammo powers because of its rapid semi-auto firing and quick loading.
I personally like the white lights with red or blue armor, the blue with black armor.

Hmm. I'm not going to do that on Jane (my first and only Shepard with the default name) but I'll have to try that later.

That looks really good. I like the N7 look (black and red with white lights) the Alliance look (white and blue armor with blue or white lights ) and the Samus look.
Antivan tailoring is even a perk and it doesn't make you fabulous.
Or maybe Antiva just has terrible tailors I guess.
Oh! Fantasy in my head. Josephine and Vivienne get together to summon several prestigious tailors to Skyhold, from different parts of the world.
"Appearances are very important, Inquisitor. The right doublet and gloves can be a helpful diplomatic tool, sending just the right message."
She's right, darling. We can't have to world seeing you appear with anything less than the most sophisticated fashion. I use one of these tailors myself."
The tailors arrive, from Orlais, Tevinter, and Antiva.
Orlesian tailor: I can provide you with a style of pre eminent glamour, in juxtaposition with incomparable function. Looking for fabric inlaid with crystal and delicate flourishes? A laced vest lined with nearly impermeable dragonskin? Choose my design, and we will make the right armor for you again and again.
Tevinter tailor: Inquisitor, I have arrived at this dunghill of a country with all my skill, but do you have the sense to put it to use? Be bold, and use decadence to your advantage. To impress and intimidate. Motifs of flame, or of serpent, or even of sneering abyssal dragons, in every color. I have this, and clawed gauntlets too.
And while I'm at it, why do you have Tevinter decor on hand and no proper Tevinter throne? I can remedy this.
Antivan tailor: Leather, Inquisitor. You have not known function and comfort so well combined until you have worn true Antivan leather, butter soft and indescribably sturdy, studded with pale silverite or set with sapphires. I will even let you customize my designs. Within reason.
Inquisitor: (selects nobility perk and rattles off some convincing argument about being able to afford all of them with such and such resource)
tailors: Very well, Inquisitor. We will stay and...try not to get in each others way.
::Vivienne greatly approves::
::Dorian greatly approves::
::Varric slightly approves::
No one else particularly cares.
Inquisitor is happy.
I always assumed that Antivan tailoring had more to do with Antiva being a nation of kleptomaniacs than being a place of total fab.

At least before the fourth blight Antiva city was one of the major artistic centers of Thedas. I'm assuming there was some kind of restoration, and when you've got a major artistic center, you've got fabulous fashion.

You should try the GoldenEye run through ME3 with the M-11 Suppressor. ![]()

ME1's Mako is James Dean in more ways than one.
I'll stop now.
If we're using celebrity metaphors, I'd like my character's armor in ME:A to go in more of a Tom Waits direction.
Nice choice. ![]()
Former Australian Prime Minister Julia Gillard once faceplanted in the turf when her heels got stuck.I know there are girls that can run on hells. But truth is: hells tend to getting stuck in any kind of terrain that isn't asphalt or tiles. Just one little rock can make lose balance. In an eviromant where one run, jump, climb up ladders, is definitely a stupid idea wearing those. (ans I speak as a girl who ended up stuck with her hells in the grass more than one time.)
So hells higther then three centimeters would be better out of combat. At least to not make some persons (like me) feel their feet hurt just for emphaty.

I gave you a like just for your avatar.
Thanks. That's where the screen name comes from too. ![]()

Pistols are great. I liked them more in ME2 though (just because weapons had a designated dmg type).
You're acting as is that's the only type of armor in the game
Because it is. Every armor for the Inquisitor is a permutation of that or faction armor.
In your opinion. I think my mage looks fantastic, and I would love to see more armor like that in future DA games. I especially liked the feathered pauldrons, since black feathers have been apart of most mage armors in DA games. It's a full coat and this is one of the very very few RPGs that I've ever personally played where I wasn't forced into robes. It isn't the only set of armor I really like, but it is my favorite.
I can understand if they aren't to your taste, and I can understand if you felt I proved your opinion, but we should probably agree to disagree here.
If they do include that style of armor, I hope they make it only one style and give something else as well.
Fine. I can tell I'm going to lose if I continue. Happens often enough that you get a sense for it after a while.
I'm hoping for a variety of options for armor for ME:A as well. I liked the ones in Inquisition, but I've been participating in threads that ask for more options for future DA games as well. So I'm not trying to say that's the only look that ME:A could go with, but I did feel it was well done.
Plus, I'm a big fan of long coats for player characters in general. I think it really started with Vash the Stampede. I know not everyone likes the coat or enjoyed DA:I armors, and I support their opinions too. More options in a RPG? Sign me up, please. ![]()
I didn't think this was about "winning" or "losing." Okay, some folks agree with me, but I thought we were just trading opinions. I'm not trying to make this into any sort of contest. I try to avoid that where I can, since it usually leads to toxic circular arguments. This isn't about anyone being right, least of all me imho. ![]()

Variety is good. I just don't want everyone walking around in astronaut suits. Because it's "realistic".
I like the cross between sci-fi and comic book design in ME2 and 3. And I think it frees the artists to be more creative too.
I'm just here to have fun.. not here to play a goddamn simulator.
I wanted to show my two favorite sets from ME3:
The good ol' N7 set
The other is the Phoenix Armor. It's not a mod and it is buried in the game files. It takes a small edit of one of the game files to access. I did mod it to have some awesome stats though. It's at Thessia so the pink looks more reddish, but it is indeed the same armor style:
I like them both. Why not make room for both (and more?) on the battlefield, and keep the extremely skin tight and/or space unworthy outfits on the ship? You can still be quite feminine as a female Shep in battle armor.

If you're talking about Shepard, I think the sky's the limit. It's your character.
I'm just talking about people who want all the characters dressed like that.

Oh I figured. I'll admit, part of the reason for those pics was to show off a couple of Shepards of mine. ![]()
