Do you know what "cruiser" means?
Yes. And that is irrelevant to my reply, because...

It was a cruiser.
You must be fun at parties btw.
It was a cruiser. You must be fun at parties.
It was a TURIAN cruiser. Which you know Cerberus has nothing to do with.
I guess I have to point out the bleeding obvious.

Congrats with completely missing the point.

I will just say that, for all the problems in this thread, it's better than the DA:I equivalent, which had one poster repeatedly claiming that any women who doesn't want to show off as much flesh as possible all the time is being oppressed by the patriarchy....
Better safe than bleed.
Well to be fair, if we're talking about unrealistic armour than even what the first person is wearing isn't going to protect you from what most raid bosses will be swinging at you in WoW.
Their weapons are often several times bigger than you are.

Congrats on completely missing the self-admitted tongue in cheek smartass comment. Your "irrelevant joke reply" radar is broke, right?
I came to this thread to see what was new and if there were any new and fun arguments or flame wars going on, what a let down.

How the hell is this thread still going on? It has fallen very low. Now it is nothing but the shadow of its former self. Just let it die already.
I want all the people to be sexualized, armor or otherwise. lol

Pretty much this. I don't care what you're wearing in WoW, how much of your flesh it covers. The sheer concussive force of most of the things you're fighting past level forty should rupture your organs.
And if anyone wants to say "well the armor's magic", then it can cover as much or as little of you as the artist wants because it's magic.
But that's neither here nor there. We're talking about Mass Effect, where we're expecting armor to stop projectiles moving at near the speed of light. Completely different.
At least it still have more padding than whatever the WoW races are wearing don't you think? Sure the revealing "armor" looks really comfortable and nice in bed but not in the battlefield.Well to be fair, if we're talking about unrealistic armour than even what the first person is wearing isn't going to protect you from what most raid bosses will be swinging at you in WoW.

Lorewise, it's supposed to. There's no lore on catsuits and similar doing the same, and if They would, If doesn't explain Why practically nobody outside a very few (squadmates) use them.Pretty much this. This camera angle always amused me in Kasumi's mission. Anyone have the male equivalent?

That's kind of like saying you're better off wearing a chainmail vest than a bikini if you're going to go stand in front of a train.
It is a bit different in Mass Effect because A. Magic isn't valid argument and B. The bullets you're being hit by aren't several times larger than you are.
To which I say the solution lies in alternate outfits providing people with the option to make everybody wear full armour. It's not gonna stop the sexualization of said armour, but it will be armour.

The ME2 camera is basically a teenage boy noticing girls for the first time.

Oh, and for the record, the elf there is a stealth/scout/skirmisher type. The kind of combatant that's going to move silently, unseen through the forest and riddle the person clunking around in heavy armor full of arrows. Yes, the armor's still probably a bit too sexualized, but she's not meant to be a frontline melee type person who's in the thick of battle. She's not the party tank, is what I'm getting at.
Seriously, this is my problem with the "WEAR ARMOR DAMNIT" mentality. Not every warrior culture throughout history looked like goddamn european knights or samurai. A lot of them went into battle with little to no armor and were very effective. Heavy armor is good for what it's made for, but it's situational. It'll save your life in some engagements and get you killed in others.
But instead of drawing inspiration from the dozens of cultures that didn't wear goddamn plate, everyone needs to be wearing something heavy because it's "practical."

It's the same. Pause as soon as the video plays (it starts at the 54th second).

How long ago did OP abandon ship? Poor guy...

Sisters of Battle look badass, are covered and still look femine. I hope for such armor. Some leather with steel and a little bit of badassness.

Reminds me of all the complaints about one varient of a Spiderwoman comic book cover. Where everybody was moaning that her pose was far too sexualised. Someone made a YouTube video about it where he shows about 100 pictures of Spiderman is in exactly the same pose, it was pretty much the classic Spiderman pose. Nobody has ever accused Spiderman of being too sexualised. It's like I said before, people seem to have trained themselves to see sexualisation everywhere, IF it's a woman/female character/celebrity.
In keeping with the OP desire for no overly sexualized characters, I propose that all women in the andromeda universe be based off of variations on the mexican weather girl Yanet Garcia.

Yep. Awesome.

Almost nobody (if Not all, but I don't remember every post) is saying every character should wear a heavy plate armour. A lot of people mentioned that They want light and medium armour, and they Mentioned examples (as Thane's dlc outfit).Oh, and for the record, the elf there is a stealth/scout/skirmisher type.
