^^ I think at least part of has to do with competitive MP in some of EA's games. Mods could give some players an unfair advantage, or at least alter the gameplay for other unsuspecting players.
So? Then you ban those players. That is nothing new. ^^

Assuming you're able to detect the mods.
Of course, the next can o' worms is 'but the mods I use are only hairstyles!' and such.
You could potentially create an environment where there are loads of mods people enjoy using in their game, but those people would be insta-banned if they ever logged in to any online mode, and the customer service / PR nightmare grows.
But I don't care one way or another, so I'll bow out.

Multiplayer almost always checks game integrity etc. You can have no mods at all in those games. ME3 MP didn't allow any either and BioWare had a program running that checked for cheaters. There were several ban waves where they removed players.
If you want MP, you can't have mods.

True. Which is a shame, as I personally would rather have no MP in that case - or if they must, release it as a self contained standalone.
Btw... just something I noticed while playing ME1 again... the Quarians are wearing their suits basically 24/7, so they are casual wear, not armor. They are too tight for that in the first place. They should have seperate armor suits to wear on top.
For having Quarians on board the Normandy has a suspicious lack of sterile rooms.
Another Quarian thought: It's complete nonsense that no one knows what Quarians look like under the suit. It's only been 300 years and the extranet has been around for millenia. There should be huge amounts of data about the Quarians... photos, artwork, movies, medical data... it's not like the Geth hacked the entire galaxy and wiped the data. ![]()

While I disagree with your first paragraph, I completely agree with the third one. Seriously, is Space-Wikipedia somehow not a thing?

Or did they? We do know the Geth trolled organics to see how they would react. ![]()
To be fair, the only one to say that nobody remembers how the Quarians look is Aethyta, and she has been shown to use sarcasm.

Sure you can. Plenty of games in the past allowed for MP and mods to work hand-in-hand. The solution is to make it so that all mods are disabled by default in MP; activating mods (custom maps, weapons, etc.) automatically renders the affected match unrated, disabling the gain of any points, credits, crafting materials, etc. while those mods are active. Deactivating them returns things to normal. Mods in-game can be determined by the host, and the host alone.

So Quarians wear armor all the time? Even at home? ^^
Wishing we could've gotten that whole out of suit sharing scene with Tali in ME3 after Rannoch. Would've been an excellent friendship scene.

What baffles me is that the ability to mod skyrim has kept it selling.
Given the fact that EA likes money so much I am surprised they haven't realised this.
Maybe it is the fear that amateurs could produce better 'dlc' for free.
The Sims games have a huge modding community: 188,786 files available on Modthesims for Sims 2-3-4, for comparison Skyrim, Oblivion & Morrowind have 73,257 on nexus so I don't think EA is opposed to mods on principle. (And despite all the mods they still manage to sell stuff packs and expansion for every Sims game).

Not only that...
Considering Asari can live 1,000 years there should be plenty still alive who met Quarians before they had to don the suits.
The big mystery about what they looked like under the hood never made any sense.

As I recall there wasn't really a huge mystery in-game about it. It was mostly just with the fans because we never saw what they looked like until ME3.

or to be a tad more grim, just take off the mask on a dead one if all else fails

All the humans wondered about it and a few aliens made comments.

Humans didn't show up until centuries after the Quarians were forced to live within their suits. Can't recall any aliens making any comments questioning what they looked like. The specific comment I remember was a metaphor of sorts like "It was so long ago you forgot what the Quarians looked like under those suits." (Matriarch Aethyta says it)
It was only ever a mystery to humans. Which is the perspective from which we experienced the MEU.

Exactly. Hell, look at some of the biggest multiplayer games around - CS:GO, DotA, LoL etc. They derive from mods. WIthout modding, PC multiplayer gaming wouldn't be a significant thing.
No one wants to see grandma in space, sexy spacesuits/armors for all.

I'm pretty sure no one cared about what they looked like under those helmets at least not in a sexual manner, what i mean is it was already generally assumed/established they were not horrifying to look at as the bulk of context/content based around Quarian pleasure mods, and in games movies "Fleet and Flotilla" as well as the Turian who suggested it, and the possible Tali & Garrus romance all seem to indicate that Quarians are at least appealing to Turians, Humans and Asari (the later willingness to bang anything that isn't blue and bald isn't the best measure of beauty though.)

Which doesn't add up as Tali was treated for her injuries in ME1 by a human doctor and a quick look into any database would have info on what they looked like.
I honestly don't see How the two phrases see related to each. Every characters in an armour Not considered sexy reminded You a grandma?
then you have seen the promo for the human protagonist in Andromeda. Also we don't know if every character is in armor, that's just wishful thinking. Unless your grandmother is particularly super model gorgeous at age 70 I think the general assumption should be quite easy to understand.

There is also the Quarian female who is clubbing with the Turian on Eyslium? Who talks about her Ex Human boyfriend who wanted to do it with her in the nude.
The promo of the protagonist doesn't remind me At all a grandmother. As no armours so far in ME (At least those I recall) remind ed me of one.then you have seen the promo for the human protagonist in Andromeda.
