I am confused, feel stupid and most of all I am helpless...

 

My toolset doesn't show the tabs for areas, scripts, convos, etc. The only thing shown is the list of scripts.

I seem to be unable to help myself out of this. Can you help me?

A: Click on the View menu and choose Options.... On the left side, choose Windows. Click the Reset button, then click OK. Close the toolset, and reopen it.

If this doesn't correct the issue, or if your menu bar is gone, close the toolset. Open up Windows Explorer, and paste this text into the Address bar:

Windows XP: %USERPROFILE%\\Local Settings\\Application Data
Windows Vista: %USERPROFILE%\\AppData\\Local

Hit Enter. From there, delete the folder named NWN2 Toolset. That will reset everything for when you next launch the toolset

Thanks for the hint. I actually read this before and tried the reset option even though it didn't feel like my windows are gone. They were actually never there

 

Anyway, I tried and deleted the nwn toolset-folder at local settings but to no avail.

 

Well, I am from Germany and my OC Game and my MotB Version is german. My SoZ is a CD from the UK. The only difference between the different CDs seems to be that if it comes to the german CDs I have the option to install the game in german, of course, as well as in english. I chose english though for all of them. I patched it all the way up with english patches. I am not sure if this might cause an issue.

Edit: And I have the game installed at the root directory not in progam files (x86). Not sure if this makes a difference.

 

 

I am using Win XP 64-bit.

 

By the way, I can play the game with no problems at all. So everything seems alright. Just when I wanted to pick up creating stuff on my own again I am missing those tabs where I can have all the convos and areas listed. Only thing shown is the list for scripts.

 

Any further ideas are much appreciated. I don't really feel like installing it all over again with the same result in the end.

sry I just don't know :\

could be a compatibility issue w/ xp64
or yeh between OC-german + MotB-german + SoZ-british
or maybe there's a second one of those 'local preferences' folders that was written somewhere, somehow,


for me, when tabs go missing i just delete the prefs folder and *bam* they're back (xp32, english, Gold version + SoZ dd). You might have better luck with a GoG version of nwn2 complete ... (or maybe not )

The tabs can become seperate windows if you clicked on it a weird way. They could be seperated this way, and so far off the side of the screen they look like they're not there. Look for stuff off the side of the screen.
