I support the idea. But I do think that the f/f romances have all been pretty damned femme on the butch/femme scale. Even if we expand out beyond DA.
Juhani
Silk Fox
Liara
Leliana
Kelly
Isabela
Merrill
Samantha
Josephine
Sera
There was also a gal in an NWN expansion, but I'm not sure what she was like because I never played it
I guess Juhani and Sera aren't necessarily femme, but they aren't really butch either. The rest are all pretty heavily leaning femme. I saw someone mention Isabela as 'butch'. She's certainly aggressive in some ways, but I'd never describe her as butch. She's super feminine looking and acting for the most part.
I'm down with femme f/f options, but I also think it's high time that we got a real butch f/f option. I think that Bioware is a bit afraid to do that because some people might call them out for creating a 'stereotype'. The problem is that 'stereotypes' exist for a reason. There are many lesbian and bisexual ladies who are butch and/or are attracted to butch ladies. Let's see someone like that in the game as well.

I was just thinking that.
I would definitely romance her.
She's somewhat like Vivienne: scheming, political, ruthless, steely and elegant.
Yes, playing as Ciri and not hitting on Philippa? Such a waste! ![]()
I agree though, such character would be a nice change.

Isn't "Sorceress mage" kind of redundant?

I meant the term itself, it's basically saying "Female Magic User mage".

There are different categories of mage. Dark Sorceress could mean evil mage, or just a personality-type.

if we are talking Dragon Age there is no such a term for them . they are all Mages or Apostate .

It's still the same word though.

You're right, I just never felt like removing it personally. Considering Dark sorceress more of a personality type, while mage is more of the actual class.

I'm still unsure as to if its a good character as opposed to a straight male fantasy. Perhaps not have characters defined by their sexual preferences.

The main idea of the lesbian Dark Sorceress is the power-hungry evil mage-woman who just so happens to be attracted to women, not with the romance option defined by the gender. I can understand that it was not written as such, but that was what was in mind.
The main idea was take Morrigan, and make her exclusively F/F. IF that makes any more sense.

But Morrigan wasn't evil, just ambitious. I think the evil descriptor brings about a negative connotation. I would rather a morally ambiguous sorceress who is pragmatic, not exactly altruistic, and does things for her benefit where she sees fit. However, she follows her own code of honor and doesn't just murder people willy nilly.

That would be cool too. Was just a general thought. Ideas are more than welcome.

Everyone is a mage in DA now. Rogues teleport and warriors summon copies of themselves.

Uh? What? Isabella seems the butch type for sure. A masculine female character. And Sera in Inquisition deifinitely fits the butch/Masculine set up.
I don't see Isabella that way, except in certain "artworks" in the players guide and in the comics. But as far as the canon game, she's feminine.
Sera isn't that feminine, but she is girlish. She's... the gross girl.
