If I redeemed my code before linking ithis account to my XBL account will I still get the armour when i do link it?

Yes (eventually).
If you don't have any other EA accounts from past video games, and your Bioware Social account uses the same email address as your XBL gamertag, then it should Just Work™.
If you've got an EA account from a previous EA game (which is pretty common), then you'll have to call in to EA customer support and get them to move your gamertag to the new EA account (the Bioware Social one). You'll probably have a bit of a wait, but its quick once you get to talk to someone.
If you don't have a previous account, you can associate the gamertag yourself by going to the EA support website and looking at your account details. There is a section for "Personas". You can add an XBox Live gamertag there.

once you link accounts you lose cereberus network tho and will have to call them back
