Before going to Cronos Station.
So there's some time after Thessia and the "continuity" blurb where you could finish the Omega DLC.
Not like that really matters or anything.

A wormhole isn't a black hole and the science is a LOT stronger behind a wormhole than flying FTL.
A big issue with new FTL technology is that it doesn't separate the galaxies because you can just fly back or more people can come through. Such a propulsion method would be likely to create future problems in the writing because travel is just too easy. You also have to ask the question of why the ark doesn't simply turnaround once the reapers are defeated because they would find that out at the very early stages of the journey.
However I wouldn't do it via Omega, what the hell is the reasoning? To open up a wormhole theoretically requires a massive amount of energy and there is a massive amount of energy already written into the script thanks to the crucible. When that fires, open up a wormhole and swallow a bunch of ships then close, leaving them stuck in Andromeda.
1. FTL causes that reapers could travel far beyond local cluster of galaxies. An if they can, we didn't finished problem in our galaxy we just opened it. It means that there could be much more reapers wandering in vast space of the universe. If they live 1.000.000 years(which is short in my opinion) they could travel almost to the edges of the visible universe 10.950.000.000LY(estimated on reaper FTL speed 30 LY/day). Farthermost visible galaxy is like 13.000.000.000 ly from us. If so, there are probably millions of reapers that survived ME3 events, and we just used 1 shot gun. So there will be no mercy and no hope when they come back.
2. Omega is near Omega 4 mass relay not connected tu galaxy mass relay we blew at the end of ME3. But Omega 4 mass relay is connected to that one which is located In the centre of our galaxy and super-massive black hole is there. Exploding mass relay (the other one that is in omega system) could trigger some kind of resonance of omega 4MR to throw whole Omega system including Omega station into another galaxy.
anyway
In my opinion it would be much more fun to explore whole new galaxy with bunch of vagabonds than stiff military officers in white uniforms
No because I don't want Aria or any other known characters continuing to exist.
If we're going clean slate, let's actually go all the way like my high school sweetheart said rather than what she did instead. With my best friend. On prom night. This is a fictional story. Because I hate dancing. The point is let's start fresher than the fresh prince of Bel Air.

There is no clean state in ME universe according to FTL lore: Asari may fly to Andromeda within life span..... And we may even meet there Liara... she will not be even in matriarch age when she reach there (I will annoy You little more) If she had romance with Shepard she will have Blue Asari Shepard with her that's for sure Buhahaha. To be true Aria if she want, she may take the ship and go there too. Krogan lives 1000 years so we may meet Grunt and Urdnot Wrex's offspring. EDI too if she is well constructed and I think she is, she may replace some parts, patch her OS and go there.
In fact if we took Synthesis ending all known characters will be immortal and free to go to the edges of known universe.
And due to ME3 inconsistency reapers should be there too. Far more dangerous because they are warned about possible crucible weapon.
So there is no clean state. We may even play Asari Shepard (no male version)
So long as Aria dies in transit, I'm down.
Yeah, and they're mopping up Cerberus.... wait.... that's how cerberus gets into Andromeda!

The only part of this post that annoys me is the poor spacing. ![]()
I get why people want continuity and that FTL with Reaper tech would make a trip to Andromeda take approximately two-hundred someodd years, but if the games are sidestepping the endings of Mass Effect Three then they will have to sidestep the fates of several prominent characters including, but not limited to, former squadmates of 'The Shepard' considering that all of them could have died during the tale of 'The Shepard'. . .yes, even Liara.
Perhaps this can be remedied somewhat if Andromeda features a 'Mass Effect Keep' that allows you to decide the fates of certain characters, but even then: allowing those prominent characters who could survive and arrive in Andromeda would then have knowledge of something happening at the end of the Reaper War. There is a big difference between the three endings besides which color they are: two of them allow the Reapers to continue existing, one allows for the possibility of 'The Shepard' to have had some form of after-story (High Readiness Destroy option) which would bother people as that after-story, if described in any way, wouldn't be what their Shepard would have done yadda yadda.
Yeah, and they're mopping up Cerberus.... wait.... that's how cerberus gets into Andromeda!
first rumours I had found (maybe year ago ) were that we will play Cerberus agent sent to Andromeda as a humanity backup if Shepard fails.
(Work of fiction? Seriously? What have you been smoking?)
You take issue with my referring to Mass Effect as fiction and then ask what I'm smoking?
Do you not understand what the word "fiction" means, or do you think Mass Effect is real?
You people are taking this way too seriously...
