Which is stronger on the Paladin?
Are they both % increases on total damage, or is one of them % of base damage? Do they both work on the DoT?
I do set off a fair few long range fire explosions with Incinerate+ED, so I am not sure.

Freeze combo. Obviously you need to have Snap Cheese specced.
If you Snap Freeze liberally or use Cryo Ammo, 6a. If not, 6b. Pretty sure the increases are % of base damage but perhaps someone more into numbers can confirm.
Freeze combo with the Paladin.
General consensus is that 6b is better on just about anyone that isn't the Paladin or QFE, and even on those two 6a still has its benefits, such as if you plan on incendiary cheesing. You can use 6a if you want to do a cryo ammo build as well.
I would say go with 6b and spec out of Snap Freeze because it's like the worst thing in the game.

I thought that it was the opposite: both increases are multiplicative of total damage. I'm only like 72% sure though.

At first I kinda hated using my incinerate kits as a use for Cryo Ammo. But once I switched away from it, I kinda missed Incinerate with Cryo Ammo.
Cryo Ammo is most helpful when starting a new manifest, since it takes some time to get them weapon pierce mods + leveled up for every weapon type. Nor do you have enough Armour Ammo either.
Cryo Ammo is also a great way to nerf yourself to give the pugs more of a chance.

Armor damage because you should be speccing out of Snap Freeze.
I've been operating under the assumption that all damage boosts that versus a specific type of defense or enemy state are multiplicative rather than additive, though I can't remember where I first read that.
The armor damage evo actually is better on every single character with Incinerate if you plan to use Incendiary Ammo.
edit: Fire Shield also combines with IA...

Also, AIU's Snap Freeze actually works as intended.

Snap freeze rank 6 is bugged and does nothing on the paladin. Rank 4 reach does what rank 6 is supposed to do, however.
Incinerate freeze combo was bugged ages ago, but was patched - to an extent. See Capn's post.

Skip his passives, choose incinerate 6a, take cryo ammo, and still claymore all the thongs.
Graal and striker are also acceptable. Bonus cred for meleeing all the thongs too.
