Perhaps, but we shouldn't ignore the possibility that men, in a position of authority, promoted ideas that would make them look good and discouraged ideas that wouldn't.You got it backwards. It's the other way around. Masculine and feminine traits are not assigned to men and women respectively, it's the other way around. We assign certain traits as masculine traits because they appear more often and more dominant in men (and vice-versa for feminine traits and them appearing more often in women).
Independence, aggression, assertiveness, etc. are considered masculine traits because they're dominant traits in men.
Empathy, gentleness, sensitivity, etc. are considered feminine traits because they're dominant in women.
This is an extremely rare instance of someone using that saying correctly.Yes, there are always exceptions (but exceptions prove the rule)

Female with red hair and green eyes.
Like pretty much every BioWare character I've made from ME on.

For me it totally breaks the immersion to see a 10/10 supermodel running around wrecking $hit and smacking aliens in the face.
I feel that way with my tv shows as well. I like my heroines attractive but not ridiculously good looking , unless they aren't human (Alien, elf, android etc.) Then all bets are off and they cay look as attractive as possible.

I always play male characters, in games where i can customize them. (behetesda, Bioware, etc.) I´m male and i prefer that for roleplay. However i have no problem to play games with preset female protagonist. Tomb Raider etc.

I'll play as both. I never mould PCs after myself, but instead after a archetype sometimes with a little twist.

I will play as maleshep only most certainly.
The older i get, the more i tend to enjoy to meld the PC with my real me.
I played pen&paper when i was young and all that, but to roleplay a char for longer than few hours gets
me stressed meanwhile, so my few female attempts in ME always ended soon.

Female.
Is it set in stone yet we'll only play human?
Cause I'd like to play a neutral sex too. (Asari

Female. 1. Nicer to spend 30+ hours watching. 2. Because few things actually do female characters correctly and I want to see if ME:A does that.

An Asari protagonist would be just as biologically female as as human female protagonist.
It is confirmed though that the next game will only have a human protagonist.

My first play through will be female because I like to roll as myself to experience the game first hand, then later on I'll role-play as male/female, whatever takes my fancy.

Then the male and do the oposite history choices.
Please Bioware, make a more interesting Female N7 agent(since we dont know his/her second name), less make up, she is a soldier after all.

My 1st character will be female, after that it depends on what I think of the protags voices.
In each dragon age game I have multiple playthroughs, most of which are female, but with one or two male characters mixed in. But with mass effect, despite multiple attempts, I just couldn't play maleshep. Couldn't stand the voice.
