I know I'll do a playthrough for both genders, which gender first though I'm not entirely sure. I think it'll depend on what's revealed and shown before the game comes out.

Male because there's no reason to play female.

Female because I'm a female and I like to play characters I can identify with.

I usually go with whichever feels right for the character in question.  In past bioware games, I've done:

KOTOR: 1 Male
DA:O: 2 Male 1 Female
DA2: 3 Female
DA:I: 1 Female
Shepard: 2 Female
SWTOR: 1 Male 3 Female

I have tried doing male shep a bunch of times, but the voice actor drives me crazy and I never get past the citadel in ME 1.  I'm leaning towards male for ME: Andromeda, but I'll have to see how the voice actors are.

Female mostly, i prefer creating a female and they are more fun to make in my opinion.

I will play a lady. I hope the voice acting for her will be as good as Jennifer Hale's.

Female Sheps voice actress was SO much better than robotic male voice

No she wasn't. In ME1, yeah, in ME2 they were equal and in ME3 Mark Meer was much better imo. But even in ME1 he doesn't sound anywhere near "robotic"

I will create a female protagonist because I like to roleplay as myself in different scenarios.

I just hope that they don't give us makeup choices in this game.

Listen, I'm a guy.  Y'all know what that means, right?   I can't color coordinate for ****.

Purple eyeliner + black lipstick?  SURE!

That totally works if you're going for Amy Lee.

Depends on whether you'er playing male or female though I think. Male yeah I don't tend to touch the make up things too much but  I do when I play female though. I have to admit I used the Black Emporium a lot in my last DA2 playthrough constantly changing the look of my femHawke. Mostly because girls do like to change their look from time to time I think and I played around with that during that run. The basic face structure I left alone I just changed hairstyle, hair colour and makeup colour from time to time. I'mleaning towards starting with a female biotic as I like the idea of catching the enemy by surprise by making them land on their ass hoping they've never heard of or seen biotics.in action. :P Of course I don't know for certain yet as that'll likely depend on what I'm playing elsewhere at the time.

So do I especially cute young looking ones. In fact the Shepard I'm currently running I find kind of cute

Agreed, it's why I use this avatar, I find my Inquisitor pleasing to look at. :) I can't make up my mind though if shes cute or sexy.

People are way too quick to jump at things and label them "SJW" nowadays. It's honestly pretty cringey.

I'll be playing a girl because I'm a girl and I like girls.

Male, because they look better and are easier for me to roleplay consistently.

Also because male Shepard is canon  :police:

Its funny, I typically play Male characters for ME (The only female Shep I made died on my very old 360, and I haven't been able to bring myself to replay ME apart from 1 quick run to see if the EC made ME3 better), and a big mixture for DA. My first DA character is typically Male, then Female, then who knows, but I usually end up about 50/50 in the DAverse and 90/10 in the MEverse.

well  I'm left handed because my disability affects the whole of the right side of my body. It's got nothing to do with mre being renegade and as a matter of fact most of the characters I've played in ME and DA generally take the paragon path.

yeah running with a rather cute sex yShepard in my latest run of ME just finished ME1 a few moments ago was thinking on my next run through Inquisition maybe going for this kind of look as I think it would work well on a mage elf that'll marry Cullen. Will need to play DAO and DA2 to get a history together first for that though. As I don't really know what to pick so I generally let the characters I play do it for me.

Yeah, it's also why I roll this one. I rather like the way Shep turned out so she ended up being my canon one.

I always turn the makeup options off. I just can't imagine my Shepard getting up in the morning and applying cosmetics before suiting up to kill baddies.

Both, as long as I have time.

I might do male first since I did my first run through each ME game with a FemShep. I did something similar with Dragon Age - female Warden, female Hawke, male Inquisitor.

VA matters more for me. I need to be impressed by the VA, generally. But in terms of gender, most likely female will be my pick.

I will play a transgendered/neo-sexual she-male.
