Finally have a PS4 and a copy of Inquisition, now I just have to start from scratch to get to the damn DLC.
BTW this is my canon Inquisitor, Alec Trevelyan. He's a Rogue.
You are aware tha tthis is a Mass effect thread and not a Dragon Age one?

As always, I plan to start with a male character and then play a female character on my second playthrough. So, 'both' would be my answer.
Depends on the voice actors. I played Femshep more than dudeshep because I liked Hale' voice work more, thus better immersion.
Yeah I know what you mean although in the trilogy I personally felt that both Shep's were pretty much equal to me. Bothwere good but neither signiificantly better than the other though. I've tended to lean quite heavily on the female side for DAI because I really like the job Alix did. So far I've only done 1 male playthrough and that was my last quizzy all my previous ones were female. My next one will be female too as I want to hear Alix in the DLC's as I've not played a character voiced by her through them yet.
Male all the way for me, I'm afraid. I don't fit well into the mind or body of the opposite gender. ![]()
Did I already post in this thread? Ah, well... if I did, then I'll just say it again; female. I always play female first. Then male but only if there's a male/male romance option. I never ever play as straight male.
Female. Unless I really dislike the female VA. But that's unlikely, considering that in all the voiced protag Bioware games I've played so far, I've preferred the female voices.

don't worry about it I think I made that mistake earlier too

I don't think Shepard's mind changes based on gender..? The choices are all the same.
The body is different, though.
Both. Male first probably and then female. Usually end up with more female playthrough's than male because I don;t think there are enough strong female leads and I enjoy women who kick arse.
Female. There's so few female protagonists that whenever a game gives me the choice I go with females. Besides, I loved my FemShep. I just hope Bioware finds someone as talented as Jennifer Hale

Same here lately I have to admit I've been playing more females than males too on both ME and DA although I do play both ways though.
In any game that allows it I mostly pick a female protagonists first. Looking at fine lady parts throughout the game is a huge bonus. I always make her a lesbian if I can. So it's pretty much a girl on girl simulator to me.
The only BioWare game I haven't run a female in is DA:I. I want to play a Qunari female but the hair options are horrible.
I loved the two different actors & actresses that were chosen for the Inquisitor and if anything, I hope they do that again for Andromeda.
As for sex, I will most likely play as a female because I am one. I don't have any other reasons, because I want to experience this game in all it's glory.
Me.

Definitely female, it's so much more appealing to see a woman take charge, kicking ass, and taking names. I usually play female characters anyway, and that's not going to change anytime soon.
Depends on whether you'er playing male or female though I think. Male yeah I don't tend to touch the make up things too much but I do when I play female though. I have to admit I used the Black Emporium a lot in my last DA2 playthrough constantly changing the look of my femHawke. Mostly because girls do like to change their look from time to time I think and I played around with that during that run.
Maybe it's because I'm a guy, but I always went no-makeup on my FemShep. I just thought the makeup options didn't look good, but I guess it's just preference. By no means should they take that away, as I see very many people using makeup on their Shepard
I always turn the makeup options off. I just can't imagine my Shepard getting up in the morning and applying cosmetics before suiting up to kill baddies.
Makeup application in the future is super easy though...

Male always, find it difficult to play as female, want to be abel to see my self in the char i make, and last i checkt i was a dude so ![]()
Female first then male. If there is jerk options I can't bring my female to do it so I create a male character to be the tool.
Female all the way. Why would I want to play as a male when I'm a male?
Probably as a female.
I went for a female Shepard because I thought having a female badass starship commander would feel more unique, a male one would look like "been there, done that".
For the next PC I am thinking about a female but for other reasons... having another woman would give me the feeling of a "spiritual successor" I guess?
Good thing I don't need a character to be like me so I can connect with it (from all BW games, my Shepard was by far the one I connected with the most and she is a black woman while I am a white guy, so...).
