Female because I'm insecure of my gender.
I do that in every. single. game in which I can play as a female.

First as female, and then as male, as always! I always make one of each.
A male, so I always have an extra gun handy.
If only transgender was an option.. ah well.
Male because im not insecure of my gender
Nor am I ! Male heroic characters are so boring and cliché, female heroic characters always look good, elegant, beautiful and high top efficiency ! A very high level men could never reach... Too bad for you, RZIBARA
My secret desire would be playing as Asari. So I won't need to chose a gender.

lolwat
right, I forgot im part of a community full of SJw's that loves games made to pander to SJW's.
The female characters in Bioware games have 0 difference to the male counterpart, so by your brilliant logic, the female protaganist is also boring and cliche.
Get out of here with your bullcrap

Some days, I wonder if everyone else's joke detector is faulty on the internet... Or it's actually just mine that's on the fritz.
I wouldn't mind playing a female (I'll probably do that in FO4), but so far, Mass Effect was better for a Shepard much like myself...as a (straight) male. Maybe the female protag will interest me in this new game... who knows. I need to hear more about them.
I was also one of the generic minions of players who played a Soldier first. And I liked that too. lol. /no shame.
I always play as Female only, always and in all the games that have that option, Andromeda will be no different ![]()
It's been a while since I posted something here...
I'm male myself, but I'll probably play both. I find playing as a guy only gets boring. ![]()
Female - always when there's the option. ![]()
female definitely, as always. I'll play male, too, if his VA is that great (really wanted to make a mshep playthrough to romance Tali or Mir but I just couldn't stand Mark (no offence, lol) but either way... I have high expectations for a better male VA & a compelling female VA such as Jennifer's.
F
Can anyone tell definitively if BW actually changes ANY part of the game or story whatsoever between choosing male or female in their games?

Your options in who to fool around with

I've actually seen people acting like there's a lick a difference between the two genders of Shepard and thinking that femshep isn't the same dim witted buffoon with a lack of basic military knowledge as maleshep. The overzealous femshep fans have a wild imagination, you see.

that being the main one of cour5se also different sounding voice as wellb as both have different voice actors
Aren't all soldiers dimwitted though? Lol
Serious question? No.
But especially not officers or special forces.
I'll do a run thru on both but will start with a female
Female per my usual.
I only roll a male when there's a romance I want to experience for myself (and the VA is good).

THERE ARE huge differences, in the movements of the body (because male body and female one are different, they can't move the same and the actor and the actress the character copies are different personns), in the voice, in the tones, in the words (there are differences in the lines), the armors are not the same too...
If you haven't noticed that yet, so you are blind and deaf (I am so sorry for you)
