The fact that 64% didn't meet Wrex, but for an ME3 stat, is already kind of sad.

Probably because many never even played ME1.

Well, that was my experience first time around.  Like many I started with ME2 so I only knew of Wrex by others' comments.  Eventually I went on to play ME1 and understand the awesomeness that is Wrex.

Characters that look like the player/s are one thing, but a character with the same personality, problems and capabilities would make for a very boring game. I'd hate for a game's protagonist to represent me, I can't do any of the stuff most lead characters can do, i'd die in the opening sequence in most games. There's a reason protagonists are basically superhuman, videogames are supposed to be fun to play.

This, i have zero desire to LARP as myself in a game, as I "play" as myself all the time IRL.

Female. I'm a man and I play RPG games to get as far away from being myself as I can playing as a woman is as far from being myself as I can get.

Funnily, I could probably make a Shep look like me, since I'm half Asian. Seems like a lot of choices there. But I just hate it because the character creator sucks. I gave up and went with Sheploo. Works for me.

Seems like I self-insert in sports games more. With RPGs, it's truly just roleplaying, I guess.

The males just had too many cool options, romance wise too (not that that's too important).

Heh, I suck in general with character creators. I usually go with sheploo and don't really notice that. :)

In general I don't really notice how people look... Old buildings, clouds, a funny sign/poster, but not really looks of people. Unless there is something obviously peculiar. Once my dad and I were driving. I noticed a girl, with a... well ... gimpy leg. Thats what I noticed... He noticed she were good looking, I didn't. :D

Make. I almost always play male in RPGs with customizable characters. I never got too far with a female I'm any BioWare game.

My favorite characters in fighting and action games are usually female though.

I'm a male, but I almost always choose to play as a female in games like this.  There are several reasons for this.  Firstly, it makes it even more of a new experience for me because I never "play" a female in real life.  Secondly, if I am going to spend 40 hours or more watching someone run around on the screen from behind, it might as well be an attractive female, right?

In games such as this where the player is meant fill to   the void of the avatar and only difference made by gender is who you can  make sexy with and the way your character model walks I genrally go with who ever is not on the box and by that I mean if a female is on the box I play male and vice versa after I have notched a few hours with the one gender I try the other mainly to see how the voice actor sounds subsequent playthroughs prefences are made by how good a voice actor does each chracter type for the shepard trilogy it ws femshep for renagade to Malesheps Paragon (Jennifer Hale is not only the superior VA to Mark Meer but she does   renegade waaaay better like wise Meer does a waaaay better Paragon than as the series goes on

Male as always because I am Male ( Gay Male, if Ihave to specific).

I try to play as female sometime but I always quit after I see myself running for couple minute. OMG! why my As... swing like this when running and why my voice is so girly. OH right because I play as Girl. so i stop playing and create another Male PC instead.

In my case; it all depends on the voice actor. Femhawke didnt do it and maleshep was dull. Loved male hawke en femshep....

when it comes to BW games I usually do two play throughs, first as a male character for obvious reasons I'm a male and I try to keep the character as close to my real feelings, thoughts and reaction as possible and a second play though with a female character.

Female is mainly for testing purposes to try options that I wouldn't normally pick on my first game play and I always make my female character the biggest ****** possible. So it is always the dark, bad and evil character just like all women  ;)

l have traditionally done first playthroughs as male characters being that I am a male myself.  But being that my canon Shepard was male I might do a female playthrough for my first playthrough since this is going to be a new ME going in a new direction.  One thing is for sure though no matter what I gender I pick they will be biotically charging through the Andromeda galaxy while wielding a shotgun.  Vanguard ftw

Definitely male. I don't think I've ever once played as FemShep. Not that I don't like FemShep herself, but it's a very personal preference for me to play as a male character, especially in role playing games.

I would watch someone else play as FemShep, but for me, I love playing as male. I'll likely do the same for "Ryder".
