i'll play as male, in my opinion it fits better the mass effect universe,  but a female character is better for dragon age,

Explain.

I primarily  play fem as I like to put myself in the game. Sometimes if I make an alt I'll make a male character.

I was gonna start with a male this time, but the SJW in me compels me to go female, yet again.

Why not both?

If the game is any good, then I'll play it through several times, changing gender, classes, reputation... to see all of it.

But then she better be a biracial transsexual with a disability...

Normally I pick male because I'm male. I can't help living vicariously through my character. lol Though with mass effect I have played female just because Jennifer Hale's voice work for Shepard is amazing.

Both. For me it depends mostly on romances, little on voice and animation of sexes as well. And concepts for characters I came up as well. Most likely I will have at least one run with both genders, then maybe more with one than other. In ME1-3 I have 1 male character and 3 females, but in DAO for example 1 female character and 3 male ones.

Female first, as always. In Mass Effect trilogy I had a female Shepard for each class. Then I had two male Shepards and played Mark Meer style. Be a total jerk on the first playthrough then play the second as a paragon to redeem yourself.  I read in an interview w/ Meer that was how he played. It was fun.

The Shepard that I consider my definitive one is a female vanguard. So for the new protagonist I'll probably go with male. If the class system returns in some recognizable form, probably engineer or infiltrator, since I never played them in the trilogy.

(People need to stop with the SJW paranoia, it's becoming ridiculous.)

This deserves to be repeated. Loudly. Many times. The SJWs are ridiculous, sure, but they're pretty much confined to tumblr. You can't go anywhere on the net without running into the paranoia.

Both eventually I'm likely to play both ways. As to which one I play first I'm not sure yet. It may depend on what Shepard I'm playing at the time I don't know because I may go for a female N7 if I've just done the original trilogy as male and the opposite if I've spent the trilogy as a femshep. As I'l likely play all 4 games back to back when the game first comes out. Having asid that though I haven't done a male run on Inquisition yet as all 3 of my Inquisitors have all been females. 1 human 2 elves. Was planning on making my next one male though. When I come back for a 4th run that is.

Both, several times I expect. The only Bioware game I've played where I didn't do that was DAO because I only made it through twice and both those characters were male.

But anyway, I always go male first as a mostly self insert character, the male again as a more role played character, then my first female character.

Male.

DA:I is the only BioWare game I ever played as a female character. I suppose because the protagonist of DA:I is rather emasculated so it feels better to play as a female character than an emasculated male character.

What does the "sjw agenda" have to do with playing as a M or F?

Nothing. It used to mean something, but now SJW became just another buzzword.

Depends on the voices.

My first character is typically male, but I couldn't stand Mark Meer's voice in ME (it got better, and I liked it more after I saw Mark Meer in a voice-acting panel at a con, but initially I hated it), so I rolled a FemShep instead.

But in a game I enjoy I'll usually play both.

Too early to decide which I'll play first. To quote Mordin, "Too many variables.".

But overall I plan to play both.

First playthrough will definitely be with a female. It's my canon. Then I will absolutely play as a male character if there is (and there will be for sure) a male/male romance available.
