Most likely female first, then male. Not sure why haha.
Will you play as M or F?

I'll play as male first because that's how I roll. And if I play it a second or third time(which it should be out after I complete school, so I won't be rocking 12-16 hour days, I'll likely play it again(unlike DA:I. where I have yet to finish my second run)) I'll likely run through with at least one female run.
Of course if I find the male VA completely awful and the female VA really amazing, I might only do female runs. Though I've yet to run across a situation in which the VA's are that far apart in quality to force me to play one side or the other.

I always play female.
why?
Its TPP game and I prefer not to watch male behind whole the time

Female first, mainly because I am one.
Male second.
I'll pick my "canon" hero after experiencing both. Sometimes the story can be more fitting for one gender over the other.

Probably male. I identify better with my own gender, and therefore it's a much better experience for me.

Well, if you can't play as a guy without thinking about doing the nasty and constantly looking at the ass, then... well, you might swing both ways in the end. ![]()

fem. makes it easier for me to relate to the character.
there is that, and... I can't really create a male that don't look like a moron xD

Which way are you gonna go?
Both, and then some. I don't feel I've really played an RPG until I've at least tried just about every kind of character you can make with it.

It makes little difference to me, as I don't actually 'identify' with the character, so much as their cicumstances (saving the galaxy, etc.). Game interaction isn't on the level needed to immerse "personally" the user and their avatar. Think of the enterprise and the holograph deck, that is what the game folks are shooting for
.
As an after thought, I'll play the male role then a female shep, like other, to stir it up. It's been awhile, probably time for another run through of this series..lol
oh yeah, I'll not get into the ME:Next/ some other galaxy far far faaaaarrrrrr away.. too early to tell what ill be able to do in that one.. sorry, I personally blame BiowarEa

Male solider is traditionally what I play first but that might change when I see the character creation screen and class options.

Well I think age ratings are done for a reason, yes. Given some of the posts in this forum it's clear that a lot of the people who play this game are about 12.

Male.
DA:I is the only BioWare game I ever played as a female character. I suppose because the protagonist of DA:I is rather emasculated so it feels better to play as a female character than an emasculated male character.
