Do you even lift?
Do you go recharge?
Do you abstain and only go to evolution 5?
What is your loadout, kit, equipment, etc on these kits?
Curiosity about the BSN consensus and why you choose which evolution?

Lifting shockwave on the one of the novaguards (Build) and one of the human adepts (Build).
I rarely play the human adept anymore, so novaguard is the only one I play with lifting shockwave.
Recharge speed on the BatSent. He can't self-detonate and so, I choose recharge speed to counter Blade Armor's penalty.
Don't spec rank 6 on the Krodept.
I can't even remember the last time I spent any points on Shockwave.
Recharge.
I think Shaman Barrier Detonate build is the only one I really use the Lifting evo on.
For a lot of the Shockwave characters, it may not be entirely worth it to invest all the way to 6 though.

What? Recharge is a huge evolution.
Not particularly.
Not particularly.
Well, agree to disagree then.
Only kit I haven't been able to get Shockwave into is the Batarian. Because playing the weapon. Need to give it another try on him one of these days since playing the weapon is not always an option on second & third account.
I never even lift.
Either recharge or stop at evo 5 combo platter.
....is for scrubs.
what is the difference in BE damage/radius if you miss out on evo 6 and only go to 5 ?
Lift is the better evolution if you're light on weapon weight. Generally most of the time an vanilla human is running the Talon or Acolyte and at very quick cooldown anyways. You're talking 0.3 to 0.5 secs in cooldown difference for lifting shockwave. Lifting shockwave gives you more crowd control, another biotic primer, and more survivability. I generally run no fitness on my adept and have no problem surviving on gold and running around like an idiot. Generally I run a cyclonic 2 but I have ran efficiency mods without fitness if I want to run something stupid like a Claymore on him.
In a game last night versus Collectors I was running around like a moron and had 4 small units in the open, singularity lifted two of them neutralizing their weapons, shockwave gets a BE which killed the two and pulled a Captain into the field and the other enemy was lifted from the shockwave. There are numerous times in game where you can juggle that many units at a time and it's generally not the boss units that kill most players it's the bullshit small arms fire.
lifting only works on unarmored unshielded targets, which makes it pretty useless IMHO

Not that much.
Difference between a 1+1 explosion and a 6+6 isn't as much as some think. The important thing is the combo modifiers when determining explosion damage and debuff options when determining single or multiple target damage within the debuff of that respective power.

6% iirc. A BE at level 2 does 40% of the damage of a level 12 BE. Then each additional rank adds 6%, unless the evo adds a multiplier to the combo damage (like rank 4b of Warp).
On topic, I skip Shockwave on the Novaguard and let it at rank 5 on the batsent. On the HA and Shaman, I always take the recharge speed evo, for more frequent big biotic booms. I see the amusing value of the lifting evo but not so much its utility, especially on the HA with whom Singularity already covers the crowd control function.
People really should try out the no fitness HV with lifting shockwave. You have 2 after all. It is the most fun I ever had in this game.

All I ask is people try it and see what they think. It allows me to be in the open a lot more. It's not just a thing of lifting CC it's the fact that it detonates, lifts, hits multiple enemies. The amount of time you're spamming shockwave to get BEs from other abilities just rules enemies like Collectors that are primarily barrier based enemies. Shockwave in and of itself is going to strip most troopers, captains, etc with a couple of shockwaves, probably three if they're possessed. Not even mentioning if playing in a biotic death squad you get another primer out of the evolution.

I like it. It was a little harder to get used to at first but now as long as nova fires, it's awesome.

I so wish I recorded my first WIiU bronze match on Glacier Cerberus.

I'd rather skip passives and increase recharge speeds in all areas and just focus on constant biotic detonations instead (basically every 2 seconds a biotic combo sounds hot to me).

You'll miss the force increase on biotic charge without the passives. To be honest, once you have played it for a few games without fitness, you hardly notice the difference. 325 health/shields doesn't matter much when you can abuse i-frames.

I will. To be honest I haven't used the lifting evo for months, so I may give it an other try to reassess it. Looks like an evo I should at least use on 2 of the 4 vanilla humans with Shockwave.
**** recharge.
Lifting Shockwave can lift 1 unshielded target per cast. 1 (and sometimes even that doesn't work) Or you can gain 0.3 seconds and chain combos faster.
The choice is obvious.
