Because I prefer Lifting Shockwave I'm playing the weapon?

I have used it, but I prefer the recharge speed.  I always go to 6 for max boom-booms, but the lift only affects mooks and they like shake up and down in the air with lifting shockwave.  I'd rather have quicker explosions.

0.3 to 0.5 secs in cooldown difference for lifting shockwave.

I think this is where we disagree.

You say .3 - .5 seconds like it's not that much, to me it is.

It isn't, and in any case it is more like .32 to 0.4s with an average weapon loadout depending on if you are comparing on 0 passive or 4 passive builds.

What is germane to this discussion is the fire cycle time / reload cancel times of the weapon you plan to use on the character.  At some point shaving cooldown times essentially does nothing for you as you are inside weapon fire / reload times.

It isn't

Yes, it can be.   Shall we go around in circles till you let me hit you .2 seconds faster than you hit me with something? Cause I've played games where that exact timing makes for a win or a lose. Generally they are competitive games in PvP where you're facing thinking opponents.

That I agree with to an extent. Loadout changes how important reload times are, but not whether to bother with Lifting Shockwave or not. (I'm voting not.) A blanket statement saying .3 seconds doesn't matter is ridiculous.

Lol, you're arguing for more biotic booms but arguing against the option that gives you more of them. Shockwave is a detonator but it also can be a primer but only with the lifting aspect. It only lifts unprotected health enemies BUT how many enemies are left with shields or barriers after an initial BE?

People really should try out the no fitness HV with lifting shockwave.  You have 2 after all.  It is the most fun I ever had in this game.

That actually does sound pretty fun.  Never tried it (I rarely use the Novaguard because I rarely host).

Nova is actually more infuriating than charge not working when there is a delay. Generally I play an off host match with someone to see what their connection is like before putting on the Manguard.

Yes, that is what is being argued.

Of course, the actual two questions are "do I need an extra primer for 6 skill points," and "do I need marginally improved cooldown times for 6 skill points?"

But Shockwave if a very good detonator since it can detonate up to two combos in one cast. Just get a Reave player in there and laugh.

And the 3rd is, do I need 6/6 explosions or only 6/5?

I don't put anything into fitness. I just don't see the investment there personally for the kit. Unless you're going all in on fitness it's lackluster IMO. It's more a matter of there isn't a better option to me.

I do believe it can detonate 3 booms in one cast.

Yeah let's just exchange personal info for the payment.

I really don't know I just assumed since powers can hit 3 targets...I also seem to have noticed it happening before in all-biotic games, but it's possible there were other detonators involved.

I think it boils down to your playstyle. For example, during hacks or objectives, I usually lay down a singularity in one spot, to at least delay mooks. But in doing so, my CC is tied up in one spot. That´s where lifting can come in handy.

Lifting shockwave novaguard is super fun, and creates a whole new playstyle.

On the rest, I don't think it matters much.

I take rank 6. Since you don't need the Fitness, where else are you going to put the points?

lifting only works on unarmored unshielded targets, which makes it pretty useless IMHO

Or great against reapers

I tried the 6b evo with an Acolyte human adept in a gold / Glacier Hazard / Cerberus game. I got the lifting effect twice in the entire match. Not worth the 0,24s I lost on the cooldown.

Maybe better against Reapers (more unshielded mooks), but even in that case I don't see when I would get the lifting effect, since I'm always going to cast Singularity first for its better predictability, the possibility to block passages and to get an other BE after its detonation. Priming through walls is the only interesting aspect I see atm but that seems pretty marginal to me.

Exactly. Another thing is, when you're playing vs Collecturds, you want to knock possessed abombs away from you, not to get them lifted and explode in your face.
