Exactly. Another thing is, when you're playing vs Collecturds, you want to knock possessed abombs away from you, not to get them lifted and explode in your face.

But people have come to expect lash shenanigans in collector matches... yet how many would suspect lifting shockwave, or even look up to see if an abomb is hovering over them? 
I just discovered this by lfiting one over a teammate, then shooting it

Which is one more time that you would really get them with lash 
and since so few people actually spec into lifting shockwave, that memory will soon fade...
