When Cass confronts Varric over knowing the whereabouts of Hawke during Here Lies the Abyss, she makes the statement: "We know whose side you're on". The subtitles, at least on the Medium setting (which may be different from the original default), say: "We know who's side you're on".

I only bring it up because it's so jarring for a BW game. I also try and spot small stuff, and letters being transposed is generally common, especially in text-heavy games, but I don't think I've ever spotted an error in DA prior to this, at least not in a major quest. Varric's editor is likely throwing a fit =p

I've noticed plenty of times where the spoken line and the written subtitle don't match exactly.  It isn't a big issue.

I agree, not a big issue at all. Assuming no other mistakes in any game from BW last gen, we're talking one error I've noticed in 1,000,000 words of dialogue. Just figured I let it be known.

There are some typos in some German Codex entries too. I haven't seen any in the subtibles tho, only in some codex entries.

I've noticed a few typos. In a game with this much written text, it's kinda inevitable.

Can I just say that I find it really funny someone notices a typo and decides to make a thread out of it?

Like, one tiny little typo and suddenly a thread that's a bit like "oh... oh my god guys... guys did you see that? guys?!" (and that's not in a condescending tone or as in "DUHRR DIS THREAD IS SHTOOPET" but more as in oh my god you guys even notice TYPOS?! xD)

Maybe it's because I'm not a native speaker, but I never even noticed any typos at all.

On a scale of 1-10, with 10 being a game-breaking glitch, and 1 being something like poor lighting or a lip sync error, a typo falls somewhere in the range of 0.5, maybe even a little lower than that.

I'm just a bit shocked to see it, as BW's editing is generally better than the majority of written sources out there, let alone the average video game. In reality, it's not a typo, its improper usage of the contraction of the word "Who", instead of the word's possessive, but I figured it would go over even worse if I said that.

Again, I don't care that it's there. Everyone makes a mistake at some point; I'm sure even James Joyce made some errors due to mistake instead of stylistically. This is a Feedback forum though, and this is the only feedback I've ever offered here.

Edit: And I made an error there. Which again, is why this isn't a calling anyone out. I make more errors in a 100 word forum post than BW makes in whole games, this is merely feedback.

I also play with subtitles on. I've noticed a few subtitle/spoken line discrepancies as well. I've also seen actual mistakes, primarily word omissions, like leaving out the word "to" and such, as well as some other text issues.

But I will say that all of the Dragon Age games have a gargantuan amount of text and these kind of problems are quite rare. This does tend to mean that when there is a mistake that it really sticks out. Also, with the inclusion of the war table, I'd venture to say that DAI has the most text out of any of the games thus far.

Every time I start a new play I mean to screenshot all of these and make a huge thread, then the cynical thoughts come forward and tell me that they probably wouldn't be fixed anyway even if I did make the effort**, and also that I would prefer them to spend the time to fix more pressing issues, such as Dorian correctly acknowledging whether he stays or leaves.

** Yes, this is primarily a result of the lack of communication from devs on these forums over the past few months. Even just an occasional pop-in to say, "We're still reading all of these problem threads" would go a long way, IMO. And sorry, but f Twitter; these are the official BioWare forums and they should be used by the devs for communication.

No biggie. Even TW3 has a couple of typos.

+1 to all that. It's really annoying. I could go on for a while about it.

I didn't notice subtitle errors, but I don't doubt they're there. I noticed quite a few on the War Table, though. At one point it started surprising me how many (not tons, but some glaring issues like whole words missing) there were.

I've seen a couple. It doesn't bother me.
