This is my first time playing as a ranger, and I was given a moon dog figurine by the forest spirit at the end of one of my quests. I used it a few times, and each time it returned to my inventory after a certain amount of time had passed (though it returned to my actual inventory, not the quick slot).
I summoned the moon dog during the fight with Firkraag, but the figurine didn't come back. I travelled to the Umar Hills and Athkatla and rested a few times, but no luck. I reloaded a save from right after the battle to make sure I had an open inventory slot, and I did. I replayed the same section I had played before, but still no dog.
Is the figurine a limited use item? I don't remember reading that in the item description, though it did say something about how the dog will only fight for good causes. It's not a huge loss if I can't get it back, but it would be nice to know for the future if that's how the item actually works or if this is just a bug.
