I know my warrior certainly enjoys hacking through those barriers with her enchanted axe... :bandit: Kind of makes me think about the rigid demands of the warrior and rogue "barriers", but I suppose mages already had veilfire and they didn't need two types of exclusive shenanigans...

Well Mages also had those "Energize" prompts, like magically reconstructing bridges (Which was always cool to see)

Or, Elemental Mines if you don't trust them spellweavers...

It's also funny, because they will be eternally frozen rotating in the air. Like magical jellybeans of hope and wonder.

And you don't even need a staff of the right element, just the right attack. I've destroyed ice barriers with immolate, spirit barriers with lightning bolt, fire barriers with winters grasp... You don't even need your basic attacks, actual spells work too.

Every barrier I destroyed with the Knight Enchanter blade.

I typically autoattack with my staff, which I guess has been fire for a long time because it leaves a little floating ball of fire in the center.

In my Hero of Ferelden playthrough, he destroyed the ice barrier in the Hinterlands with his greatsword of the dragon. That is, a 2-H warrior using a greatsword with the fire rune. My solo rogue on the other hand couldn't do anything about it.
