Finally, let's talk about the Talon Pistol. I keep seeing that other Talon thread constantly being bumped, then remembering that's the other Talon.

 

Anyway, I really never got into this Talon either. It's a mystery to me.

It's the most versatile gun in the game, it hits like a truck, it's super light, the power amps make it great for casters, and it has a shield damage bonus.

It is a mid-accurate, slow-firing, big damage-dealing, heavy-looking, but light pistol.

Only kit where this gun actually came to mind as I was learning him, was the Cerberus Vanguard. Other then that and before, the only other time was when I found it enjoyable on a Turian with Scope and all forms of stability help.

It's popularity is of great interest to me. Always has.

Love the Talon, it's almost as awesome as the Arc Pistol. It's actually better on accuracy kits like marksman or hunter mode kits. Arc Pistol kind of out shines it if you can hit the dome though.

Advantages to the Talon:

- Excellent DPS

- Shield/Barrier multiplier gives it crazy good DPS against shields/barriers

- Decent accuracy that can be increased significantly by ADS or hard cover

- Light weight

- Decent firing rate and clip size

 

Disadvantages to the Talon:  

- Uh.... hard to name any.  It's not pinpoint accurate at long ranges, I guess.  Although with the shield/barrier multiplier and ADS, you can often 1-shot mooks' shields from pretty good range if you can get a decent number of pellets on the head

 

I use the Talon on pretty much every Adept, especially the Human Adept.  It strips shields really well and it's great for dealing with "surprise" enemies that sneak up on you.

Go try it out for yourself.  It's like guessing what

pork tastes like by thinking about it only.  It's under

your control.  Put it on a kit.  Or don't.  Or get a

CAT scan to find out why this is so hard for you.

You don't need to create a thread for everything, you

betcha you will love it!

Whenever I think the ME:A forums are dumb, I only have to read a Sinful Force thread and the world becomes a little bit worse... and by contrast the utter stupidity of the ME:A forums becomes almost tolerable again.
