Long story short I'm going to replay the mass saga on pc since I am pc now.

I remember how some mods let your "open" the galaxy, as in the recruiting order for the game, so I can choose who to get and where.

Or did I imagine things? Will this mod break anything? Thanks!

Not so much 'mods' but an editing job, you can still find instructions on how to do that here, first and second post:

http://forum.bioware...-galaxy-in-me2/

Helpful pictures linked there have expired, however. If you are familiar with how to operate Hex Editor, you should still be fine, though, if not just unlock all companions except Legion.

Further mod I'd recommend is this here:

http://www.moddb.com...ons-loadout-mod

Includes various outfits for the Normandy, greatly expands upon the colour palette customization, changes weapon loadouts for both the PC and companions and a whole lot more.

To manually edit changes here, you'll need notepad++, download found here:

https://notepad-plus-plus.org/

and open the Coalesced.ini found in your Mass Effect 2 installation path within the BioGame/Config/PC/Cooked-folder with that program. It's rather easy to operate, and the modmanager that comes with the loadout-mod above should give you an idea which sections to look for to further apply changes.

Another mod I am rather fond of would be this gameplay-overhaul here:

http://www.moddb.com/mods/eudaimonium

Should you have the 'Aegis Pack' DLC and want to apply the mod's changes to the Incisor to the one packaged there - you read that right: Incisor's been released in two separate DLC-packs, the mod-author only covered the other -, you'll need to do the following:

Well, turns out it's a rather simple matter once I got the bright idea to have a long look at Euda's install-files via 7zip... icon_e_biggrin.gif

(read, right-click the mod's setup and open with 7zip)

Matter of looking at the .text-file therein, search for Incisor and apply the stats there to the BioWeapon.ini found in DLC_CER_02's CookedPC folder. Following that I applied the giveme2entitlements_v2.exe provided with Hybrid Combat, and it's in the game.

Hope this'll help.

there's hardly any ME2 mods to begin with...

btw, does anyone know how to edit coalesced and create helmetless full armors in ME2?

The mod I linked to here:

http://www.moddb.com...ons-loadout-mod

Has that included, as a matter of fact.

Edit: Never mind, only the case for the classic N7-armor from ME1 it adds to the game.

Thanks guys. Replaying ME1 on PC is a blast, because of awesomeness. None of the aforementioned mods breaks the game, yes? Opening all recruit missions won't break the joker mission, right? And the gameplay combat overhaul won't mess with KAsumi's boss fight?

Make sure you get the Hi-Res texture mod, the character textures are awful in ME2 (worse than ME1 on ultra settings), you'll need Texmod to brute the textures into the game because ME2 and ME3 has virtually no mod support.

You can use ME2/3 Explorer to mod the textures directly into the game, so you don't need to bother with Texmod anymore.

Granted, especially for ME2, this can be a bit tedious to work out but once it's done, you'll have a better experience for it:

Link

Make sure to read the last 5-10 pages of the thread. The procedure for installing the textures changed a lot while the toolset was wrked on.

Installing textures for ME3 is much more straight forward. See here and go through the wiki from there.

As for mods, just check out the nexus. There are not so many mods for ME2, so you can just look through them all. Different matter for ME3, heaps of mods there. In this thread, you will find some of my personal favorites for all three games.

Is there anywhere else I can download ME3Explorer?

That site keeps telling me my download will start, but it never does.

I tried the direct & the mirror link.
