Basically, more fast travel options, particularly within the keeps. What also would be neat is direct Wartable operations without having to return to Skyhold, maybe send a raven to Leliana or something (if some people felt this would be be too gamey, one could always make this a an option to be turned on or off).

It would be nice to change the ressource gathering missions to be a bit longer and gather more (factor 4 maybe, to be conjunct with the gather coin mission), it's sort of annyoing having to to go back to Skyhold every 10 minutes, with all the walking and the loading times. And on the topic of loading times...I rather enjoy the option to read up on the lore...but then it fades to black while it keeps loading. I'd suggest to instead add a button to continue when it's done loading so you can read the lore in peace, preferably while getting rid of that black loading screen.

AI

Party member don't seem to be able to jump when directing them through the tactical camera.

It would be nice to expand the tactics/behavior options to allow for more contingencies, for example:

AI cast Fire mine only on stuck, paralyzed etc enemies, use barrier only when low on health or at least three party members affected, for rogues only target enemies when they flank them and similar stuff.

Tt could even be an inquisition perk to allow for more such contingencies to be added (or to add strings such as and and/or or). They probably should follow a ranking. The highest ranking contingency that applies will be executed.

As for the tactical camera itself...it's pretty weird that it's stuck to the ground and that it has to climb stairs and go around objects lying on the ground.

edit:

Almost forgot.

One of the things that made DAO truly great were the mods. A pity that this game doesn't come with enough support on that end. I'd imagine some of the stuff I mentioned would have been implemented months ago.

One more toggle thing. Would be nice to press a button that could highlight the points on your map that just aren't reachable yet. Maybe it's part of the gameplay, but for me jumping around those mountains on the slight hope that I might make it through somehow is just frustrating (to me anyway).

A couple of bugs.

Sometimes (or rather often), after a casting, my mage would be unable to move, until performing a standard attack. Other times he would reset to his original position after extended movements, particularly after Fade Step.

Don't know of WAI or just a bug: when one of your members is in combat, and you pause, and switch to another member of your party who is not in line of sight it will untoggle pause.

Back to the AI improvement idea.

Players could be allowed to upload to share their AI for settings for different builds, and keep a couple of them saved, switching them out depending on the skill load. Anyway, it could prove a great tool to have the community work together.

Some more improvements.

Mark claimed logging stands/quarries on the map, it would actually be nice if they appeared on the map at least as question marks or something (I haven't picked up the forward scouts perk, so maybe they do).

Power is kind of uselesss. By the end of the game you'll probably have 100 or so power to spare and nowhere to spend it on. Maybe it could be used to bolster the war table operations as I discussed previously.

Power could be used to boost favors with certain factions, like the mages, or Orlesians, they could then convinced to send and additional bruiser/mage/rogue for one mission for like 5 power or something, or cast some permament (for one mission) enchantment on you. Scout out regions for you, do some of the busywork for you (like collecting herbs, materials, shards amd mosaic pieces).

Or use it to permanently increase the number of skills you may add to your skillbar, or as in DAO, get addional skillbars.

Unlocking another party slot. Making the camera move away further.

The game is designed so you can do as much or as little extra content as you want. There are numerous methods for gathering power: closing rifts, establishing camps, completing requisitions, completing quests. You only have extra power if you choose to do everything available to you.

That said, I do agree that it would be nice to have some (non mandatory -- that is, not plot related) power dumps, particularly at the end of the game. I'm actually rather surprised that the Jaws of Hakkon DLC area Frostback Basin only cost 8 Power to open up. Presumably there will be additional DLC down the line that will also cost power in the same way.

But, I absolutely do NOT like the idea of using Power like currency in a free-to-play game. "It seems like all eight of the slots on your skill bar are filled. Would you like to purchase an additional bar? Press OK to spend 10 Power." It is a terrible gimmick.

They had a solution to the terrible ai: tactics. They threw them out for generic ai, and large scale fights alongside them.

I haven't nearly done everything. Most of my maps are still full of open quests and markers for stuff I haven't visited, the only one that's almost clear is Hinterlands and I have 150 power to spare, and then there isn't a real reason not to buy cheapest contracts from Farris for extra perks, that's another 25 power for less than 5k gold.

Power benefits would only be used during single player, so I don't get any free-to-play arguments.

Another thing that would be nice: A button that would deactivate the AI temporarily, like the lantern back in BG days.
