Choose the Wraith.

Takes a bit of adjustment to the delay between the first and second shots but, with the smart choke and high-velocity barrel mods, you can deal alot of precise damage to damn near anything at mid range. Might ease the learning curve of needing to be so close to your enemies in order to shotgun.

Plus...

Wraith.

A great piece of advice I picked up on BSN is to treat the Wraith like a single-shot gun; the second round is only there for emergencies like when you get staggered mid-reload.  The delay between shots is almost as long as the reload time anyway.

That's like the worst advice I've ever read on BSN.

Just learn to use the weapon. It's not that hard.

I like the wraith a lot more than the claymore because you don't get dramatically slowed down at the opening of a reload animation. Don't get me wrong, I love the Claymore, but that animation is a real pain when a Banshee decides to try out for the Olympic long jumping competition.

So you tested to see if cancel reloading the Wraith is faster then it's fire rate?

Reloading between each shot on Wraith is objectively slower, because you can't even start the reload animation until 1 ROF cycle has taken place (and thus the gun is ready to fire again anyway).

I would say pistols are... The Arc Pistol is the best SR/AR in the game

Yep!

the Talon is the best shotgun

Nope!

and the Acolyte is the best...well whatever it is.

Ping-pong ball launcher? Agreed, its the best ping-pong ball launcher in the game (of course, its also the only ping-pong ball launcher in the game, but hey). But the fact remains that when you really need to murder a room full of enemies, what you want is a shotty.

I don't need to, because I understand the weapon mechanics of this game. I also understand Wraith's behaviour from direct experience.

I barely touch the Wraith. And when I do, it's to help me carry my omniblade.

Well after a bit of time adjusting to it, I have to say there is something to be said for this shotgun lark. It can get a bit hairy at times but not too bad. I still prefer my Turian + Saber that is so OP its laughable. Also like the Phalanx on my Asari's. but you have to do something to make it exciting until the new game arrives.

Tip for anyone, come out of lobby before posting. went back and I was 2 waves into a match lolz.

Phalanx was supposed to be Paladin, too many late nights.

Yep, might be my imagination but the reload anims, in fact all anims seem a lot slower. That could just be old age though. I hope this is something they address in the next game, why do we need them at all really.
