Huh.   I just now noticed this.  Good find.  Of course, I'm so busy trying to read the dog tags on the left that I can never see anything else.

Looks to me like a photograph.  A person sitting on the ground with their back to the camera, arms around a child on either side.

 

Could be many things, but now that I've seen that, I can't stop seeing it.

It is an adult with 2 kids, and the song is the adult telling the kids not to be like him or they are gonna be fighting a war that won't end!

My own theory is we're chasing our missing brother (Possible new Saren) Ryder might be the family name.

Or in direct competition with our sibling who is our Nemesis, dog tags are dads who's a legendary N7 operative. Who is the man in the first trailer.

Other theories I've seen are

TIMs kids got to Andromeda.

Shepard had kids somehow and/or destroy is cannon and so is femshep. (LOOOL)

And that it could also be that your sibling is strike team leader you are the MC.

Paragon and renegade are split between two individuals first trailer show casing renegade.

Ghost RYDERS in the sky is how I'm reading it at this point anyway.

PS I think they deliberately chose Johnny Cash instead of The Doors.

I'll bet that they are related to him somehow, it's either they're his/her nieces and nephews or his/her direct children.  They look up to him/her.  The point I made about the average age of gamers getting older was about how older people usually have children.  What parent wants their children to go to war?  (besides Miranda's dad, but he was a ****** poor father anyway) So, I'm more than willing to bet it's not just a war like task that he's asking them to stop doing.  It's an emotional task, one that requires unity above tension.

I'm certain there's a family connection in some way. The man is obviously the key but the image suggests a memory of better times.

One man two kids one wearing red the other blue. An unknown N7 who appears to be a menace (This is actually an old animation that they used with Shepard on a trailer.) A dogtag that has been removed (this is most interesting)

Is it signifying the death of a Ryder or has a Ryder removed his own tags?

Or maybe its just there so we can read it.

Edit: It occurs to me now that Red shirt is on the right. Blue on the left and the unifying figure is in the middle. Shades of the Mass Effect 3 ending.

Well, the colours I see are (L to R) white, blue, red.

I think the tag is there just to be read.

My eyes aren't he best so possible the colours are blurring for me white with the blue jacket next to it would do that. Not the first time its happened in this thread.

Possible the tag only there to be read but traditionally they only come off as a way of recording your death.

The animation in which the N7 pulls his gun and holds it by his head in the original trailer is old. Shepard does the same thing in a trailer.

I see the light shining off it, dirt wont do that. Dunno what's in the foreground looks nice enough though.

And if we go full renegade is it possible to be Cain and fight a paragon Abel?

To be fair though I'm quite against Cerberus playing a role in the new game. The name 'Harper' is a great protagonist name, much better than Ryder imo.

The rescue expedition sounds interesting. I doubt we can influnce other's morality, though: I think that will be too much development cost.

What I see is a parent holding his/her two children in the park on a bench.  It does, and is supposed to, invoke memories of the last game, because of Blue, Red and Green, as the colors of the ending of ME3. 

 

If you notice the shadow right below the left child, it goes from lighter to darker, with it being out of shadow and in the shadow respectively.

The time involved in travelling would mean they arrived together likely born on the transport or in stasis pods. The green foreground might be the inside of that citadel like area in the concept art?
