I couldn't find this specific thread so I'm starting it. 

 

Feel free to add ideas for characters existing and new that you would like to see come to the next Dragon Age: Inquisition Multiplayer expansion.

Since the last expansion brought us a dual wielding rogue (Isabela) a two handed warrior (Avvar) and a Mage (Virtuoso) I would suggest a new Sword and Board warrior, specifically Aveline from DA2 because she is bad ass and I missed her in DAI, also can you imagine the banter between her and Isabela in and Merrill as a mage suggestion.

 

No idea for more that already exist in the DA universe but feel free to add suggestions here.

Mage: How about an Augur/Avvar Mage, they could be a mix between Rift/Necro spec, because they talk to their "Gods" and stuff.

 

Warrior: It's true that another SnS warrior would be great, so how about a female elf? That wasn't there yet and the only elven warrior companion till now was Fenris. (the AW could be considered a warrior, but he's still a mage)

 

Rogue: First I wanted to say another Dwarf, but why not a Qunari bow/Rogue. They're tall and have strong arms, those arrows have to pierce stone.

Female elf warrior companion was in witch hunt. Was the 1st elf warrior before fenris. I would not mind her returning.
But she was duel wield warrior so i doubt that.

Ah! I totally forgot about Ariane! Shame on me! 

Yeah, her coming back (as a Duel Wield, or SnS) would be cool.

 

Ash Warrior & Rogue Elf sounds cool too.

We have many variations of characters that use existing skills of the game. Duelist, Avvar and Virtuoso added some new ones. So, new skills, please!

Bioware could add spirit damage for warriors, poison/nature to mages and for rogues more shadow abilities.

Never played the multiplayer, but I do like the idea of previous companions coming back as playable agents, rather than trying to shove them in the main game. However, i'd like it to make sense! Like, for me, Isabella is a free spirit, possibly sailing the seas on her new boat, totally independant. Why would she decide to join an organization that's going to control her every action?

As mentioned above, I think Aveline would be a good comeback. Maybe she retired from the Kirkwall guard and decided to join the Inquisition to help? Fenris could work too, depending on what you've done in DA2 (Maybe he ran away from Danarius again?)

Ariane and Finn.

 

Ariane is duel wielding in Witch Hunt so either that could make a return in MP, or she could switch to sword and shield.

 

Finn is a spirit healer so I'm not too sure how he'd work in a game that lacks proper healing.

 

In a non-returning character I'd like to see a spirit warrior.  Or a battlemage.  Or anything that makes use of the Awakening specialisations we haven't much of.

I would like to see a mage with spells of Creation and Spirit Healer.

He / she would use spells to heal, protect, enhance, and also spells of nature to attack enemies.

But as healing spells is difficult in DAI, maybe a spell to go regaining some of life for a certain time.
