Has anyone else encountered the bug with this assignment, where no matter how you resolve it, you only get a single credit reward? I've tried every solution. Pure vanilla game fully updated with all DLC. I've played several times in the past and never had this issue (that I noticed anyway). I've determined the bug occurs due to some other action on Illium, though oddly only effects this assignment.
Solution: it seems to avoid this bug, it is best to do Indentured Service early on (right after Conrad Verner leaves).
Here is how I determined the above solution:
- Loaded any save (had several) from after completing other Illium assignments (Conrad Verner, Gianna Parasini, Liara's assignments, etc.) and all of them had this bug.
- Loaded a save from before I did any of those assignments (but after completing the two recruitment missions), and got rid of Conrad Verner the quickest way possible (Renegade route), then saved and reloaded (to make Indentured Service available in Eternity without having to leave Illium), and voila... I got the correct number of credits.
- Nothing else was done between these two save points. I hadn't even left Illium. Just did all the various side assignments on the planet and purchased all items from kiosks.
I was able to reproduce the bug by loading that same save that seemed to work fine and doing the following assignments in order:
- Gianna Parasini
- Conrad Verner (started)
- Salarian Family Data (turning in the datapad found during Thane's recruitment mission)
- Blue Rose of Illium
- Medical Scans
- Conrad Verner (completed)
- Liara: Systems Hacking
- Liara: The Observer
For the most part I chose all Paragon options with a few Renegade choices here and there. And sure enough, the same bug occurred. Again, never left Illium or even swapped squadmates.
