It's really good and the servers are filled with great players, don't even feel like pugging.
I especially recommend the map Firebase : Lair of the Shadow broker and make sure that you try the new kit from the DLC they released yesterday, the Volus Juggernaut!

I'm still yet to unlock my Avenger I in ME1MP, at that time it was an ultra rare.
Everyone should at least try once ME1MP though, those Thresher Maws on wave 11 are relentless.

The hardest thing in ME1MP though was the highest difficulty level, there was:
Bronze, Silver, Gold, Platinum and SinfulFarceium. On the SinfulFarceium level everyone came into the game already sync killed, man that was tough and only for the really skilled. The best players diden't use max UR:s though, they used uncommon and rare guns since they were so amazingly skilled they didn't need them!
