I think that people that haven't been in unhealthy relationships need to stop claiming what one is.

I haven't read the manga but in the show, or what I've seen of it so far, she is a girl that has feelings beyond friendship for a boy that aren't reciprocated. Pretty much it.

Yeah,  I guess so. I'm just glad they seem to be going back to darker themes. But we will see, and at least it isn't  something seed related..
