I don't have HBO...
I'd watch it if I did though. HBO's Rome series was awesome. Is that a documentary or a drama?
That isn't why I said Athens though. I had poetry, plays, philosophy in mind. I know there wasn't ever truly a Greece.. that's why I mentioned Philip's league. It's probably the first real attempt at something like it, and Sparta was left out of it. And even though Hellenism didn't officially become a thing until after Alexander's death, it was a theme that had it's beginnings in his father and himself. And those who influenced Alexander as well (Aristotle).
I appreciate your knowledge on the subject. I'm willing to learn something new. Just don't bundle me as just a TV viewer. I might be slightly one level above.
Why did this get you out of lurk mode anyways? Do you study this a lot?
What I was saying, is that proclaiming Hellenism as wholly Athenian is a fallacy. I should also add that Greek culture in the wider world during the Hellenic period was also funneled through the idiosyncrasies of Macedon. Also, Aristotle was a Macedonian who studied in Athens; he was born in Stagira (central Macedon). It is wrong to think that Philosophy only came out of Athens, during the Hellenic period it was more so coming out of Rome and Egypt, ancient skepticism is believed to have started in India and is said to have been brought to the Hellenic world by Pyrrho. Philosophy during the Hellenic period was rather diverse; Athens was only one of its main hubs. In fact it was never central, and Socrates Plato and Aristotle did not take providence in philosophy until Medieval Christianity because their teachings were easily skewed to suit the early church. The majority of Hellenic philosophy has been lost, we don't even have that much of Aristotle's philosophy, we have like three books and some of his lecture notes.
If they removed Cass from the party and had her content be focused on her role as the Divine, I don't think I would mind.
It's the qunari, afterall. She should be leading the Chantry in meeting this threat, not just killing whatever the Inquisitor points her towards.

Cassandra doesn't lead because she doesn't want to. She has plenty of opportunities to take charge, but would rather be on the field fighting alongside the soldiers, which she could still be a leader by doing that. The inquisitor doesn't point her towards anything. They just share common foes.

My Divine is Vivienne, so I would mind if Cass left the party to be the new Divine ![]()

I'm glad that there are some people that likes Vivienne as the Divine. She is making history by becoming the first mage Divine in the Southern Thedas. Plus, she's pro-circle, which is a good thing. ![]()

But, if she becomes Divine, then she will have to become a leader, no way around that.
Ideally, we would see that happening already in this DLC. I do hope we will see something of Divine Victoria before we leave DAI behind.
So no.
The classic.
Its not a good example; mages shouldn't wield political power no more then Templars should ideally.
So no.
I agree. They shouldn't give someone who is pro-mage or pro-templars political power. They would only use the power to strength their order, instead of the people.
Vivienne treats the mages and the templars the same. She knows that there are bad mages and templars, and would see those people crushed before they could start something.

True, even though she seems to have regretted the choice by the end of Inquisition.
If I remember correctly, I believe that one of the Devs tweeted that we'll have new content for the followers.

She is not a politic, she is the leader of the largest religious group in my game. Its not a good example; mages shouldn't wield political power no more then Templars should ideally.

I'm not going to write a volume on this warder. You don't even acknowledge the people who don't share your opinions directly anymore. I'm "the Dutch" now apparently.
Also anyone who likes Orlais but thinks Tevinter is a "****" needs to punch himself, maybe he will wake up.
Like your pro Tevinter garbage isn't predictable?
What are you even talking about.

That post was self explanatory.
It was a poke at one of your posting mannerisms, "so no". It even predates the *snort*.

If you say so.
That was like, the entire point of only quoting that phrase.
I have several dismissal techniques; some more respectful then others, the situation calls for what it calls. That was like, the entire point of only quoting that phrase.
