Speaking of dresses, I'm pretty sure her wedding day would be the only day Cass would agree to wear a dress. Because it not would be one of those stupid dresses, but a wedding one, made for the most important and happier day of her life. Wedding dresses are srs bsns, even for Cassandra Pentaghast. Especially for Cassandra Pentaghast.

The only time I could see the Inquisitor and Cassandra getting married is if either was mortally wounded and one asked the other to have the ceremony as it is something they would like to do before they die. Otherwise, I don't see Cassandra ever agreeing to getting married, I think she would be too insecure, she would feel unsuitable in the role of 'wife' due to her other obligations as a warrior.

Becoming someone's wife doesn't automatically mean that she will become the little lady that sits there all day waiting for her man to come home.

If anything, I think Cass is secure enough to say that marriage would not be changing anything and they'd still live their lives as they currently do.

Cassandra fully respects Leliana and the feeling is mutual. So yes, Leliana will inevitably come up in Cassandra thread. I posted some conversations pointing at this a few posts ago.

I know too many examples where it isn't. Even in my own family. And I wouldn't do it to any woman myself. That's all i can say about it.

Hardened Leliana's approach is very similar to coup attempts. If you kill the leaders, you don't have to kill the majority under them. Its murder, but she spares majority. And she tried to reason with them beforehand, so there is that too. Sweet talk > Threaten > Blackmail > Dagger is priority for Leliana.

 

Cassandra is a slow reformist, and most of the things she says she will do are not even on her epilogue.

Cassandra's way needs to be tyrannical for it to work, she is too good for tyranny, therefore she is indecisive in what she wants to accomplish. Her ham fisted approach as Divine leads her straight into a shadow war. Softened Leliana is still better than Hardened Leliana, because softened Leliana is able to accomplish things without Big Brother methods. When people push back against her, Vivienne goes kneejerk. She losses all semblance of that silly elegant veneer, and she reveals herself to be a mad dog.

I'd join in, but since I already spent two years after DA2 debating it -- and it all amounting to jack sh*t, I'll just pass.

 

Well the pro-mage side was not disappointed at all.

 

I suppose the "war" could have been explored more, but 2/3 of the results are in favor of mages. Even with Vivienne, its explicitly mentioned that Mages have more freedoms in circles and Templars are leashed more.

 

At some point I sort of anticipated Leliana and Cassandra epilogue for mages in form of theories of how circle alternatives could work. It was certainly nice to see systems similar to them in the game.
