It could be set up as Tragic love story. Cullen would be addicted to Lyrium, but still believes strongly in the Chantry. While, Cassandra would be facing the struggle of leading the Inquisition. They would only have little time to spend together, but those moments would be cherish like no other. The drama would intensify when she's put up as one of the Divine candidates, which pushes Cullen back to Lyrium, but in secret.

I don't think they would have worked. Cullen is just too soft to Cassandra's taste. Not to mention they are both highly introverted people. They don't care much about friends and relationships and focus mostly on the job.

Meh, the Inquisitor is not always in the picture. In my solasmance run-through, I like to think that she got with Cullen or Varric.

I wouldn't pit Cassandra against any real life professional.

I've never read or seen anything that has hinted at her being competent in hand-to-hand combat. She'd get her ass whipped for sure.

So I agree with a Cass vs Aveline scenario... Though I think Aveline would resort to fighting dirty. She's spent way too much time with Hawke after all.

Nah, Cass may not know what a Harai Goshi is, I imagine her training to be a fantasy equivalent to HEMA, but she'd most certainly be a force of nature with or without a weapon. She’s an exceptionally gifted killer. All the things that build a great fighter—determination, reflexes, anticipation, stamina, strength, self-control, anatomy knowledge, etc.—she’s been tempering her whole life.

Someone as proficient at ending other people as her doesn’t become useless because they don’t get to do it with 50 inches of steel. That’s just her specialty. Take that away and you’re still dealing with someone content and very able to feed you their metal fist, without hesitation, until you're dead. When she’s working, all her fights are to the death, and, obviously, she’s never lost.

I mean, medieval knights in the real world would learn how to joust with a lance, they would learn how to fight with a 2-handed grip on a longsword, and they would learn different grappling and wrestling techniques for if they ever lost grip on their weapons, in addition to whatever other specialized training they would have received if they had to fill a particular niche. And they did all this training in their armor. Cassandra is never seen training in her full kit, but I would say it's a safe bet to assume she has before.
