About what was being said earlier, about Cass being lonely. I think her being more or less alone gives her a kind of strength. She strives to become better. She's one of the best soldiers of the Inquisition. She is a remarkable Seeker. She was a hand of the Divine. If she hadn't come across that loneliness, if her family hadn't died, if she wasn't so alone, would she have become the person she is now? I don't think so. Where she is now is because she has had to prove something to herself. If her parents hadn't died, you can be certain her life would be completely different. Not fighting, not a Seeker, not a famed Dragon hunter but someone who wears dresses, absorbed into the social gatherings of the nobility. Not the Cass we know and love.
Sure, it sucks for her. Lacking in love, family and friendship but I think it only benefits her (though in the long run, she's going to need a shoulder to cry on otherwise she will crack).
Edit:
Cassington! F*ck you auto correct!
