I used to kind of hate Cassandra- because of her interrogation of Varric.
BUT NOW, every time she says something I just go "yep, you're Cassandra and you're amazing."
Soooo glad she turned out to be a romance option.

I think it really helped that Bioware took inspiration from all the fan-girlish art of Cassandra and decided to make it official. She seems harsh and cold on the surface, but if you put in the effort to know her she's really very sweet and loyal.
I have a theory: I think Cassandra was mean to Varric in the beggining because she was squeeing so hard on the inside to meet her favorite author, and the only way she knew how to mask that was to be angry and "stabby stabby."

It's kind of weird to think that when you take scale into account and you imagine seeing the world through the Inquisitor's first-person view, this is pretty much what Cassandra would look like head-on to him/her. It's not bad or anything, just a perspective that I'm not used to seeing. You always see her from an angle because of the camera being above or below her head and the fact that Cassandra is almost always facing to the side of the camera and never directly into it, assuming you don't use FlyCam.
It also really highlights the small details on her face, like the freckles/moles (I can't really tell if they're freckles or moles right off of her chin).

"Sera: The Veil is wobbly here.
Cass: Certainly not. It's much more squeaky."
Ok, was not expecting that from Cass.

I loved her interrogation of Varric. It makes Dragon Age II for me. Both of them just develop this wonderful relationship.

Except fortunately she doesn't usually have that creepy smile. <shudder>

And now we just need some cassaric in DA4, and it would be perfect.

I think if she is the Divine, she might get a cameo

She could get one even as the lady Seeker. That would be nice.

I think everyone should have one recurring lifelong romance partner in the game. Cassandra should be one of them. What do you guys think

About what was being said earlier, about Cass being lonely. I think her being more or less alone gives her a kind of strength. She strives to become better. She's one of the best soldiers of the Inquisition. She is a remarkable Seeker. She was a hand of the Divine. If she hadn't come across that loneliness, if her family hadn't died, if she wasn't so alone, would she have become the person she is now? I don't think so. Where she is now is because she has had to prove something to herself. If her parents hadn't died, you can be certain her life would be completely different. Not fighting, not a Seeker, not a famed Dragon hunter but someone who wears dresses, absorbed into the social gatherings of the nobility. Not the Cass we know and love.
Sure, it sucks for her. Lacking in love, family and friendship but I think it only benefits her (though in the long run, she's going to need a shoulder to cry on otherwise she will crack).
Edit:
Cassington! F*ck you auto correct!
You are not serious right? You must be trolling. That last line "Sure, it sucks for her. Lacking in love, family and friendship but I think it only benefits her" means that you are trolling...
