You are not serious right? You must be trolling. That last line "Sure, it sucks for her. Lacking in love, family and friendship but I think it only benefits her" means that you are trolling...

No, I wasn't trolling. I believe I made it clear by what I meant.

So you think that her suffering from extreme loneliness, the murder of her brother in front of her, and the execution of her parents, all things that have psychologically scared her, benefit her?

Past experiences is what makes someone the person they are. All of those things that you listed has had a hand in molding Cassandra into who she is today. Whether they be bad experiences or not, someone can benefit from them if they so choose to. Learn from them, make themselves stronger. That is the point Poodle was making.

Whether they be bad experiences or not, someone can benefit from them if they so choose to. Learn from them, make themselves stronger. That is the point Poodle was making.

Those things are what continue to trouble her emotionally, they do not benefit her, and if one were to put it another way, 'Cassandra you can be a Seeker, however for this to happen your parents need to be executed, your brother needs to be murdered in front of you, and you must suffer from extreme loneliness which will cause you anxiety and depression, both of which will manifest into suffocating rage...' Then the whole 'argument' looks silly. Loneliness strengthens no person, because people are social animals, the human brain is not wired to deal with extreme loneliness. As such, loneliness does nothing but causes a great deal of psychological issues, and if left unaddressed the issues seemingly multiply, and break a person down. If I were to guess, Cassandra was not strengthened by the hurts in her life, she was already strong to begin with and traumas like the murder of her brother haunt her as war haunts a soldier a la PTSD.

I know plenty of unrepentant killers in the military.

Just as I know plenty of those who suffer from what they did daily.

It's a job.

It's perspective that shifts between Individuals

Unrepentant killers are psychopaths, they are not normal people. Since you are they one saying this, I doubt that they are actually unrepentant, perhaps you know people who act that way, however true psychopaths are quite rare. Cassandra is not a psychopath.

Fiction is always informed by reality, thus fiction reflects relaity, there is no escaping it, because fiction is written by people who are inspired and informed by this very world in which we live.

[font='times new roman'][size=3]Unrepentant killers are psychopaths

That's a civilian born misconception.

Killing in and of itself is only a moral recidivism because society at large has little use for it. Battlefields are obviously differing in that regard, its a place where if you don't kill others or yourself may die.

That kicks that whole shtick about the whole concept of killing into a rather alien light to most folks, even then you have few bother making distinction between combat and elsewhere.

But as I said, I know five people personally who have killed more then their share of enemy combatants and their psychological state is well within non sociopathic and psychopathic levels.

It's perspective, well some say justification but that's more or less the same thing.

So ultimately I'll say just this.

Killing people can become just part of a job. Like lifting up a box to a shelf

Unrepentant = no empathy,  moreover it means not reflecting on what you have done in your life, psychopaths regret very little. Normal people can become desensitized, and they can bottle up a lot of things; however at some point it always comes up to the surface. People who suffer the most psychologically from their job environment, are known to be those men and women in the armed forces. And unfortunately they get very little, and very poor help.

As for who you supposedly know personally, judging by your silly grandiose and manic persona, anything that you say concerning  those rare 'unrepentant' soldiers who you are supposedly acquainted with, and any greater 'knowledge' that you think you have on the killing of other human beings, can be taken with a grain of salt.

You've played it?

*sigh*

I got JOH but I haven't gotten around to doing that yet.

Why can't we get some good content?! With Cass in it?!

It does have David Hayter as a member of the Legion of the Dead.

The main story of JOH is good, if they had focused on it, the DLC would be way better (and it has Cass content).

Descent story is not bad (but the DLC as a whole is), but I wouldn't call it good, might be worth to pick it on sale.
The story is kind of boring and the ending very anti-climatic, in the words of my Inquisitor: " I came here looking for answers, now I leave with more questions".

I like the new DLC, it has some neat things like an expedition table, and some new weapons (a badass dwarven shield). I really like fighting the Darkspawn again (Ogers, and Genlocks, and Emissaries), reminds me of DA:O, except I like the level design for the Deep Roads in DA:I more. The best part of the DLC is that you are basically sleuthing through the deep roads with Solid Snake (or Legion of the Dead Lt. Renn...). lol

When JOH first came out, people said that there was no new romance content, once people had it for a while they found some things for Dorian and Cullen. If the romance stuff is a worry, then I say wait and see what people find, it's still too early to write it off.

I don't think the DLC is bad or a waste of time and no new Cass content shouldn't be a major factor

I'm not sure why people were expecting Cassandra to have some special content in these DLCs, or any other party member. The only DLC to feature much of anything for any companion was Citadel (not including LotSB, because Liara was the entire focus of the DLC and she normally isn't a companion in ME2, and Witch Hunt, because Morrigan again is the entire focus of the DLC and not a party member).
