Youtubed the DLC, solid/ good overall in terms of Character/Plot Stuff but the gameplay looks even worse now with HP Sponge Qunari.

 

Also looked up the 2 variations of Cassandra's Romance. Both were a little too fluffy for my tastes & not that beefy in terms of content but they were fine.

 

If I had played it the Divine Romance would have been the one I imported so I'll ramble about that one.

 

IMO it really suffered from having alot of the same dialogue as it's non-Divine Counterpart. Sending really mixed signals with the hole "Are we or Aren't we Broken up?" But it turns out they are so it ended as it should have given the circumstances.

 

What it misses the most though is a convo between Cassie & Inki where you chose to move on or stick with her no matter what. 

 

As is though the Inki just comes off as completely ignorant that their romantic relationship being over. Asking the Divine to marry him, the "Are you breaking up with me?" option on the dialogue wheel when discussing marriage & not outright asking her what happens next for them.

 

By the epilogue slides he is just sorta... hanging around smiling at her. 

 

Not judging anyone else's Inki or Headcanon but that's pathetic.

 

No self-respecting man would do that to himself or to her & I'm really disappointed that she did that to him. Cass made her choice, she is duty first & if you don't like that then love someone else.

 

But it's really out of character that she didn't talk to him about it. She made a personal sacrifice that affected him too yet there is no heart to heart between them regarding it. She seems to be perfectly happy letting him pine away at her from afar & I call BS on that. Cass would never let him do that to himself.

 

I'm 100% sure the line Budget is responsible for this glaring absence of content but I'm still disappointed by it. 

 

I know David was putting a romantic spin on these two star crossed lovers but for me it wasn't effective.

 

Again I don't mean to talk sh!t about other peoples characters or interpretations, I'm just voicing my own.

 

P.S. anyone know what happens in the epilogue when the inquisition does not disband? Wondering if there is a difference seeing as the inquisitor wont be around to pine at her from afar like in the other ending.

Nope, it's exactly the same regardless of whether you disband the Inquisition or not. Another reason why Leliana is Divine especially since the end result is the same no matter who is Divine.

So, obviously, the big thing right now is the M and the D and how they work together. I intend to comment on it once I have finished the DLC. For now, just wanted to point out something that may have been missed. In Sera's notes, there is this line

 

"They better tie one day. Cassandra needs it on the regular."

 

Now, I must say that my Inquisitor would be more than happy to stand at attentiona and fulfill his obligations.

The "Cassandra needs it on the regular" line absolutely floored me when I found it.

 

And the one above it that has Sera complain about how they use "so many words to say nothing at all", all but confirming that she was probably around the corner or hiding in the bushes, listening to our marriage conversation because she's both nosy and a shipper.

There was some touching late dialogue when they thought the inquisitor was about to die. The ending slide was very nice, with the line about her smiling more.

The one thing that frustrated me a bit(though its probably in character with her romance presentation in Inquisition) is after the inquisitor suggests marriage, she waves away the suggestion & demands/assumes a super romantic proposal is required.

It's going to vary but for me, disband the Inquisition if Vivienne is Divine, she doesn't change the Chantry much and can handle anyone dissenting because she's a Mage or something. But keep the Inquisition if Leliana is Divine since she's changing the Chantry from the ground up and possibly creates a rebellion to dispose her (although if you harden her she manages to subtly crush the rebellion from within).

Yes.  Their ending is much like the Warden and Leliana's  in DAO

 

While Cassandra and the Inquisitor were often separated by duty, they still found time to be together.  It was not unusual to see the Inquisitor appear unexpected at Cassandra's side - or her at his - as they worked to restore order.  Those who knew her from earlier days said that while she was always true to her calling, they had never seen her smile so often.

Nope, divine cass pretty much breaks up with the inquisitor. Non-divine cass can says she wants a romantic proposal so you can head canon potential marriage.
