That would work, I think. In my Modern AU, Cass is a cop - surely detective would work as well. I would definitely read it! ![]()

I'm curious. If you ally with the mages, Cassandra says that she doesn't disapprove in the subsequent Haven conversation, despite greatly disapproving in game mechanics. Do the people here have an idea of what's up with that?

I think it's more that she approves of you taking a stand and "making a decision when it needed to be made." If that sort of thing happened in real life, the Herald would have to have made that decision rapid-fire. Either way, you step in and offer a solution to a seemingly impossible situation.

Okay, I need some help here... There's this Cassandra modern fan-art floating around somewhere on the internet, with her having a dress shirt on and her jacket over her shoulder. Either Cullen or Varric is addressing her as "Lieutenant Pentaghast" (or somesuch). I know I saw it in one of the two Cass threads, but I can't find it! ARGH it's driving me crazy...

Yeah, Cassandra appreciates decisive choices and standing by your believes, even if she doesn't agree with them.

Cassandra in the DLC says "If you want marry, follow your heart"
But if you romanced her "Oh.. is a big step, maybe other day (never)"

The impression I got from Trespasser was she wanted a marriage proposal to be done "right" like courting her in the first place with the flowers candles and poetry. She didn't want it to be an awkward punchline to one of Varric's jokes at her expense

That's the impression I got as well, that Cass wants the "ideal" marriage proposal just like she wanted the "ideal" courtship; when you use the "I think we should get married" star-option, she answers something like "It'll be very romantic and I'll act very surprised". I also find interesting that the two romances in which you gets married to your LI in Trespasser are the romances with the two characters who care the less about the Inquisition and the Inquisitor's public image, aka Sera "Nobles are ***holes so what?" and Cullen "I'll tell our men to size up the Winter Palace because it's the right thing to do, not the political correct one!" Rutherford. Maybe it's just me, though. ![]()

Good pic, but not the one I'm looking for. It's black and white, she's standing in a doorway with her jacket over her shoulder, and Varric (or Cullen) is sitting partially off to the right. It's driving me up the wall.

Tell that to how she reacts to the templar decision. Says the Templar order should disband and acts glad in the war table afterwards if you disband-disapproves
Gets angry if you ally with templars-approval.
Cass is apparently bi-polar.

How to gain Cass' approval and undying love/respect/friendship:
1) Listen to what she tells you to do.
2) Do the opposite.

I started playing DAI on PC, i can finally take screenshots. The graphic difference compared to the ps3 version is huuuuge.
I love this screenshot, Cassandra is covered in blood and the priest still thinks he can command to a Seeker.

Even Leliana is like "wtf dude".

Hey guys... I'm sure this has been brought up before, but a search through the thread hasn't brought up anything, so. Is there a known bug where the conversation that starts The Ideal Romance won't trigger? I've taken every flirt with Cass, completed her personal quest, left Skyhold and come back a number of times, completed other quests to force the character timer forward, but talking to her just goes into the normal dialogue tree and I can't seem to trigger the romance start. Anything I can still do to salvage this character, or is her romance bugged beyond fixing at this point?

That quest will only be available if:
- you have talked to the Warden in Crestwood
- done Cassandra's personal quest Promise of Destruction
- have enough approval with her

Ah, I managed to fix it in the end, but thank you! Turned out breaking up with Dorian didn't actually register his romance as closed, so the game thought my IQ was already taken. I had to edit the save and manually shut down Dorian's romance flag, but it worked out, as soon as I talked to Cassandra again the conversation started. Thanks for the tips, in any case!
