No, because there is no Nevarra in Fallout. 'Cassandra is not like character A'. Calling character A,Orlesian, was a joke

.-.

No such thing.

I pretend those foreigners don't exist. (It's relatively easy when you just ignore Beth entries in the franchise)

Ya know because crossing a radiated ocean just seems like something beyond most of what's left of humanity.

First of all, French people could have been inside the vaults, also there very well is such a thing in Fallout. Europe is quite important to Fallout lore, France and Britain are real places just seeminlgy cut off from wasteland America. Secondly

Why would there not be any French people in Fallout's rendition of the United States? Immigration was still a thing, even in that universe. Also, the things that Andres keeps putting under spoiler tags. Considering that she is... That... It doesn't matter where she's from.

There's nothing to misinterpret. You literally said this:

I'm curious as to which part of this could possibly refer to modern emigration, because we have no irradiated oceans.

Uh post great war obviously. Ya know. Modern FO, FO-FO:NV

Hence why the oceans are toxic, hence why traveling over them when most societies don't even have methods of transit beyond animal is ridiculous.

There should be no ocean crossing, navies don't exist anymore, hence why the Chosen had to hijack and repair a abandoned, rusting Oil Tanker to get to a rig offshore.

.-.

It's a thing I've leveled against Bethesda since FO3, its lore breaking. Maybe people like the NCR, Enclave and BOS have vehicles, aircraft, but random islanders two centuries after the boom?

No.

They'd need to explain that far more then they did, its just a cop out for usage of a accent.

No, I didn't know, because you have bad communication skills and can't make a clear point.

Also, you don't need navies to cross the ocean. You don't even need motorized ships. Vikings were crossing the Atlantic with hand-operated longboats a thousand years before the War would have happened, and the British Empire had galleons crossing the Atlantic for a span of almost 300 years before the steam engine became popularized.

You not liking something doesn't mean it's lore-breaking, it just means you don't like it.

Right, you misreading it and then labeling it that doesn't make it so. It just means you can't admit fault. Which I already knew so its no big deal.

Beyond that?

Four thousand miles from the UK to D.C, four thousand miles in a boat that would be made from pre war scrap, or maybe a tree. You mentioned age of exploration and viking craft? Surely you know those vessels carried mountains of spare parts, craftsmen and materials during journeys to repair the damage caused by 'normal' seawater related matters.

Of course you did.

I suppose craftsmen could make a vessel to gap the distance, I could even suppose they could cross it but here comes the kicker.

Let's assume you could manage 5 knots (being generous as ****) a day, had perfect weather...as could be expected and no irradiated mollusks attack, four thousand miles at 5 knots would roughly take 40 days or so. That's 20 to 24 gallons of water needed per person.

The sheer resources of this task make it impossible for a single family in the wasteland. For a advanced faction, maybe, for family vacation? No.

It's not a matter of 'liking' or no, its more akin to acknowledging just how ridiculous it is that a boy and father did this journey.

No.

You pop in replacement bits and get it running again barely.

It's a wreck you can refurbish, not something you make.

The Enclave developed their own power armor, the X-01. The brotherhood uses vertibirds and giant blimps, and in Fallout 4 you can help make a submarine run again...Technology in Fallout is not so abysmal that long range travel is out of the realm of possibility. Warder is just trying to save face; all of this over a simple joke. lol Never mind that some vault could have had some sort of cross cultural experiment where European immigrants and American people etc were put in the same vault together. Also apparently

The blimps/airships are pseudo canon along with that entire game. The Enclave is one of the few factions that had/has manufacturing capacity for advanced weaponry and equipment.

The NCR and BOS seized the Vertibirds from the Enclave, they did not construct them.

And it took the Enclave a long period simply to just relocate from coast to coast and their among the most technically advanced groups in FO period.

.-.

Honestly-its sort of amusing given I've been a Fallout fan since its release and yet my word is questioned by people who rely on the argument 'it wouldn't be that difficult' when its been noticeable since day one it would be a massive obstacle to overcome. Maybe we played a different series and came away with different message.

Most people don't even have electricity or clean water outside of the Legion, NCR or D.C settlements. Yet international travel is supposedly a viable option.

Mrs.Handy.

Personally, I think a French Cassandroid would come in handy. And since she would be French, she could put on a French maid outfit and would fit perfectly.

Masturbating. I'm talking about masturbating, for those of you who may be dumb.

You should condescend some more, you're still 2 or 3 levels above me and I can't quite hear you from down here, master.

1. Why are you assuming it's 1 single family who is moving?

2. None of what you're saying actually acknowledges my point. You said that navies were required for seafaring. I said they weren't (and pointed to Vikings, people who had no ***damn navy, as an example). You go on an idiotic tangent about logistics and make stupid assumptions like it's relevant to the topic because you can't keep your points together.

Pseudo canon. That's a convenient excuse. There have been virtibirds in fallout since at least 2(I did not play 1). Simply put, the technology is there for possible long range travel, you ignoring it and calling it pseudo cannon (whatever that is) does not change that fact. As for the length of time in 'technological development', that is true for new technology, the Brotherhood built off of old, which takes far less time. I did not say that it would not be difficult, only that the possibility is open for long range travel. Meaning we could in the future see another part of the world, like Europe, in Fallout.

French ghouls with berets and sailor's jerseys, because that's one of the very little things the people remember from before the War!

Because that was what was learned in game implied? Fallout 3 Megaton resident Moriarty traveled to the United States from presumably what was Ireland post Great War alongside his dear Father.

No other travelers nor method of transit are discussed.
