I wish you could actually play up the criminal element more. You can't even play the angles and benefit the lyrium smuggling trade. And almost right away you're attacking the Carta in Valammar and joining some Holy Cause.
Dwarves do kind of look like the Godfather though, sitting on the throne.

She'd have to be from Mexico. Like one of the diehard Catholics there... with their Lady of Guadalupe and all that stuff.
Nowhere in the US. If you're gonna pick this hemisphere.
Otherwise, I'd just say Spain.
Why Spain?
And if you go to other countries, what about Russia? Tough military orientation, strong sense of duty, I-do-what-needs-to-be-done-whatever-the-others-say attitude, deeply religious background. Her ways really remind me of my Russian colleagues at work.
She's technically supposed to be celibate, little lone not marrying anyone.

I guess I just associate the Southern Chantry and the Inquisition with Catholicism... while Russia is Orthodox. That and she looks more tan than most Russians.
Nevarra actually seems to be a mix of both western and Slavic influences though. "Navarre" is a Spanish locale, but I'm not sure if it played into the naming here.

o...o Nevarra strikes me as Prussian, always has
I don't even know what Prussia is.
I know the "idea" of it, but what is the exact difference with "Germany/Deutschland"?
Same goes for "Bavaria".

Savages...
The Duchy of Prussia is a Kingdom born out of Romanic Germania that shares a unique history, culture and values from Bavaria, Austria and occupied a vast swath of territory, expanding the glory of the Kingdom outward, it eventually became part of the German Empire which saw a unification of the Germanic territories under a singular banner.
Thus Prussia as it existed for centuries, faded but became part of a united culture and state leading to the modern German state.
Those are the cliffnotes
Learn something new everyday.
It's hard for an outsider to notice all the subtleties. All I know is that when someone says "Prussian", they usually mean the person has a stick up their ass. ![]()
Doesn't Germania include France too (i.e. Frankish empire)?

It was the first confederation of Germania under a single ruler, and yes The Moorish kingdom is another name for it, It also home of my favorite medieval figures such as Clovis, Charles Martell, etc.
But that largely had little to do with Germania past Clovis, as it fell apart you had future Prussia and Austria well on their own way to their respective empires.
Prussia and Hapsburg respectively.
So it's where Martell originally came from? Cool.
Guest_StreetMagic_*
Now that's something you rarely hear of.
The Hapsburg empire...its like folks forgot Austria had one...
I played a game with them in it. Forgot which one. Maybe Medieval Total War.
So it's where Martell originally came from? Cool.

It was Charles Martel actually. Yeah, call me picky. ![]()
