Zeon had several opportunities for victory in the war.

They just couldn't fight a conventional war effectively against the Federation.

I'm pretty set on having my canon Inquisitor be a solasmancer, because it is rare to have the opportunity to play a Dalish elf who gets to discover all these secrets first hand.

Meeting Mythal and Fen'harel in person, finding out the truth about the vallaslin, etc. Most Dalish would kill for that privilege.

All that said, not romancing the best character in the game seems like such a waste.

My first contact with DAI was through the PS3. When I finally get my hands on a PS4, I will play a female Dalish mage and then a human male warrior. The temptation of the Seeker's hips just might be the one to win me over in the end.

I can't tell, I mean you can find good, honorable, honest folks on either spectrum of that...

 

Overall though, I have no clue, I mean she's royalty by technicality so that would fit more in line with Zeon's hereditary dictatorship thing, but at the same time that literally means nothing to her and she gave it all up to be a Seeker, at the same time though she never espouses belief in changing the world overly, so I wouldn't argue her a champion of democracy either.

 

Ultimately I can't decide if she'd wear the Zeon green or the Federation blue.

Hmmmmm, good question, you pointed out very pertinent reasons of why she wouldn't join whatever sides of the conflict. But in the end, the Federation are the "good" guys, so I guess she'd end with them (and slap the sh*t out of Amuro).

Hmmmm, I disagree - Cass didn't leave the Seeker then the Chantry because they were unworthy of her, she left because she believed they were not doing what was right. It's not a matter of worth, but a matter of...lucidity, I guess? She was more than happy to be a Seeker until Lambert revoked the Nevarran Accord and led the Seekers on a giant mage hunt, and she was more than happy to be a member of the Chantry until they started to bury their head in sand about the Breach and the Inquisition. That's when she left both.

Then neither side would appeal to her given that this war of ideology difference basically boils down to those who will burn the world to cinders in order to overturn the status quo and those who will defend that system forever because it enables them to maintain their wealth. Zeon vs Federation boils down to a dictatorship that ultimately wants to free space from the grip of the 1% and that 1% defending its colonial interests.
