Justinia was, apparently (Valo-Kas). Beyond Iron Bull, I could see Cassandra possibly reacting with some discomfort (internalizing it, most likely), but she's definitely not the type to waste time by taking it any further than that. And what of the other races?

She isn't the type to ****** about problems but like I said, I could see clashing with a literal Qunari spy.

Dwarves, and that's mostly the lyrium, and elves mostly for the bandit bit.

*shrugs*

Humanity has enemies because its awesome.

I'd think Cassandra would like assurance that the PC wasn't one of those elves that went around killing random humans to be a ****** about **** nine hundred years ago.

Pettiness for pettiness' sake... definitely not her style.

And, lol, Dwarves are probably the furthest you can get from enemies to humanity. Now you're just talking nonsense.

I'd say that issue is resolved within 10~15 minutes of the game.

When Bull makes his offer, the Inquisition is just starting up and that point you need all the help you can get. Can't exactly be picky who's offering the help. You can even tell Bull if he's not forthcoming with his reports then he's as good as dead. Even if you don't that's like common knowledge to everyone (that if Bull takes advantage of the deal then he's ground beef).

You think having apprehension of working with a murderer or bandit is pettiness? Well to each their own.

I personally lean on it being a challenge, their conflicting views, actions, and there should be lines that shouldn't be crossed.

Like war profiteering.

She might not have had a opinion on the carta before the war, now its just extending it.

*shrugs* my thought.

No, I think belly-aching over it for longer than necessary is pettiness. Besides, she already works with Leliana, who is definitely a serial murderer.

Ah.

Well that I understand.

I'd say initial mistrust is warranted, perhaps a cold attitude, nothing overly out of how the character is portrayed, just add a bit of tension.

I'm not saying jump non humans, I'm saying hold their actions to higher scrutiny.

Honestly, I'd probably be open to those other races if they didn't look like ****.

Seeing that I like their females and all. :P

Humans aren't that much better, but I can work with it.

I like female elves as far as appearance in DAI, they are just too...anorexic?

My word for them is "bulbous"... lots of lumpy areas on the face. It's hard to make a sharp looking dwarf (a little hard to make a sharp looking human too though). And their build is too wide for my tastes. They look like walking bricks.

They probably could've done more of that for Qunari, but it was one of the last things they added. It's why I called it "tacky" before... as in tacked on.

But in a way, all of the origin stories have their flaws... or rather, they're not very existent compared to previous games. Even the human stuff.

edit: I think the next game (assuming it takes place up North) is potentially going to be a good Qunari game. There's more of their population to explore, both Qun and Vashoth.

The backgrounds generally all sucked in so far that they lacked way too much depth and didn't have any real impact into the game...

I wouldn't count on it, the accents I mean. Necromancer guy and Cassandra sound nothing alike. Even the Orlesians were all over the place... and not in a good way.

It could still work though. Tali's actress created her own accent, like Cass' did... while the later Quarians only somewhat approximated it (or didn't have one at all).

Yeah, but I think Tali's is a bit easier to replicate... like a less-harsh Skywrath Mage (Eastern-Euro/Romani), whereas with Cassandra my general reaction is "oh wow... what the **** even is this". In the most endearing way possible, of course.
