I don't think he'd do that either. I think he's well meaning actually.

It's just his philosophy about the Veil I don't care for. I don't want a world like that.

I'm not always sure how much he does either though. He's the Trickster...he's duplicitous.

Eh I'll say this.

Its difficult to be tricky with a yard of steel in your heart.

Morrigan, Wynne, Solas, Isseya, the last inquisitor, are more sane than many characters we've met. Vivienne too, forgot her.

Then you've got the damn Orlesians, and the majority of Templars on the opposite end.....

Ignorance of the world around them, often a big source to crazy people.

Morrigan isn't sane. Just because she's not acting loony doesn't mean she's sane. She's a sociopath.. cold as ice. She'll even encourage a City Elf to sacrifice their own father in a blood ritual for a measley +1 Con. She's completely fucked up.

The guy think he alone can save the elves, but he doesnt like the new elves, he want to bring back the ones who are long dead.
He is ready to make extreme measures to accomplish his objectives, be it giving his orb to a Darkspawn magister (who would think its a good idea) or killing someone he consider a friend to ursurper her power.
He is delusional, he is ready to kill a lot of innocent people and I think he is suffering from a trauma, from awekening mind find his actions led the elves to their destruction.

Still I dont hate him, that just my interpretation of him. You can disagree with me if you want, Im not trying to convince you.

All of what you said is heresay, we don't know the reasons he gave Cory the orb, he could have thought it would have killed him, and he'd just get the orb back after. I doubt Solas even thought he could use it. That makes him fallible, and maybe arrogant, but not a lunatic.

You don't know what measures he's going to take. Maybe later he'll prove to be the lunatic you think he is, but as he is now, you've got nothing to really say this. He even says he can't help the elves if you ask him why he doesn't try. That doesn't sound delusional to me...

You're stretching bro.

Morrigan is selfish and she doesn't care for anyone or anything else. She can be called a sociopath, but the irony is she does none of the "evil" stuff. Its all warden.

Many people can be called "sociopaths" and be perfectly sane, which she strikes me as.

For dragon age, she's rather sane. Especially now in inquisition. Having a child has changed her quite a bit.

I'll acknowledge three as "sane"

Morrigan, Ameridan or whatever that Dalish **** was called...and Viv

Wynne was possessed and much like Anders lost control at the drop of the hat, elf witch was a butter churning blood mage, and Solas conspired with Cory, add his insane ideas, beliefs and total lack of any sort of empathy or compassion and sanity isn't something I'd grant him.

Orsini, Quentin, uldred...seriously this list just goes on...

To even imply that mages have some innate sanity is ludicrous given more then half presented gave been balls to the walls nuts.

Well a lot of sociopaths are smooth operators at first glance. There's still something messed about them.

Same with vampires.

elf witch was a butter churning blood mage,

Yeah, except everyone in Thedas would be ****ing dead if it wasn't for her. Or ghouls.

Wynne had a spirit of faith, and I don't remember her going nuts like anders? Maybe I missed something, but in Origins, she was perfectly level headed. Isseya if anything showed that you can be a blood mage and not go looney. She was a hero and was behind the warden's victory over the 4th blight. Her blood magic did nothing to make her any less level headed... read the book.

Solas' "conspiring" with cory is again, heresay and you don't know the details to claim true conspiracy to do anything, and his ideas being "insane" is just biased coloring, as is you calling his beliefs insane.

If you think he lacks empathy and compassion, then you're not paying attention to the game or the character very closely. In fact, I remember he had a line about that, where just because he's not boohooing, doesn't mean he's not sad.

Go figure.

I can name more Templars than you can name Mages. Amusingly you know this. Or you can live in denial and pretend Lambert was not crazy, like every single lord seeker before him (and after him)

I mean what do you expect from junkie maniacs who think the maker is on their side? The potential for insanity is limitless. I want to worship the writer who included permanent disbanding of Templars as an ending.

Don't use this style against a certain group when you are fan of a worst one.

Whatever bro.

Her little blood curse was a boon sure but hardly what I'd call a war winner, especially given it caused the extinction of the griffons

Wynne merely slipped and got really angry, which was quite natural given her son's life was in danger. Nothing remotely like Anders.

It led her to moping the floor with a pride demon, so yeah it was all good.

You can call it a war-winner because it literally won the war.

No, the war winning part came with what the blood crazed griffons did to the archdemon. They're the only reason Garahel and my ****** Crookytail got close.

And I'd argue that yes it created a opportunity, but every blight before or after was won without ****** over the only magical species in DA I can stand.

So sure, it created a opening, so would a Ballistae or a halfway decent lighting storm.

Just saying.

This wasn't the same blight. In this blight, they were on the verge of losing everything, due to how split everyone was. Thedas' goose was cooked. Until Garahel and Isseya, mainly Isseya came.

You can "just say" all you want, but the only reason this war was won was because Isseya's ingenuity and her blood spell on the griffons. Fact.

Did you... read the book?

Wait, haven't you admitted that you actually didn't read anything beyond the early pages and just went off the synopsis?

And? No innocent party killed. Justified anger. And it was not a "hat".

I went over the synopsis yes.

Ultimately its just that simple to me really, the blight hadn't even gotten into full swing yet you have people purport to it being the end of Thedas if action hadn't been taken.

Really?

The closest the Blight ever came to success was the first and that was just century after century of the ****, humanity persisted across Thedas, even as the dwaevens crumbled below.

This was a near extinction level event boyo.

That was 12 years of bullshit.
