ME2 and 3 is different. Gear isn't that important. And there's no loot at all.

 

I mean the entire premise of the cosmetic DLC, JoH gave new gear and weapons they just wasn't themed gear but they had themed weapons

 

DA2's DLC actually did the same thing, Legecy had themed weapons but not gear and Mark of the Assassin didn't really have themed items

They offered Avvar gear DLC around the same time as the Hakkon story, so I guess this might confirm that rumor about the Qunari DLC. 

 

There was a time though when they would have bundled themed gear like this in the actual story DLCs.

 

Yeah, well they have lost the plot..litrally and figuratively..

I have respect for bakers.

More than I do chefs. Chefs are assholes. Bakers have love.

Eh, I have a brother that's a chef and yep......*******. But there can be some ******* bakers as well.

Most of the ones I have worked with were quite nice, but I was their boss.

There was one though.....super innapropriate when it came to personal space in the work place....and he was an ******* too.

What happened with the baker?

Oh, a multitude of things.

I was the assistant manager, he was the manager. Space is tight in a kitchen, prep benches everywhere, huge mixers, ovens, proofer. The guys that worked in there were big, we were always skirting around each other, brushing past in a hurry. But the ******* would always deliberately push himself into me rather than try to keep some space between us. He also used to preach to me all the time. I kind of became uncomfortable with both things so I spoke to him and he seemed good about it all but he wasn't.

He started making me stay behind sometimes for around 2 to 3 hours after my shift was supposed to finish, making me take hundreds of kilos of stock from the shelves so I could clean them and getting me to clean the entire kitchen by myself. We always had a couple of apprentices to do such things but I guess it was his way of getting back at me.

He just became really jerky, always talked down to and embarrassing me in front of the other staff. There were plenty of other things but I'm not gonna list them all but he became pretty unreasonable. I kind of started dreading going to work. Most days I was there from 3am to around 2 - 3 in the afternoon and he kept loading more and more work on me to the point where I wouldn't take breaks and would have to come in on my days off.

Anyway, I became pregnant. At around 5 months I told him I couldn't do all the heavy lifting anymore and I had to start cutting my hours back to my actual contracted hours. He wouldn't have any of it so I put in a complaint to the owner. They investigated it, he told them I was full of **** and it became a he said she said situation so nothing was ever resolved.

I ended up resigning. After I laid the complaint he made the work environment so uncomfortable and crappy that there was no point in staying.

So, ******* baker.

Reads like an awfully common situation though, right down to that you had to leave in the end. Some people just can't stand rejection. I'm glad you take it so lightheartedly.

 

Apart from that, abandoning the thread for some expensive DLC sure isn't the way to go, Gif! The thread is innocent!!

Well, I was seeing someone. If it wasn't for that then I wouldn't have had a problem with him throwing me down on some sacks of flour while it puffed out into the air around me..........

Not an  uncommon situation, unfortunately.  I know of a case where a male manager, allowed two of his male staff to get away with groping, and smacking female staff on the ass, because they were 'mates'.Of course when one of the staff dared to complain, they all banded together and said she was lying..and the other female staff who needed the work said nothing.
